What they're saying is that Russia hacked the DNC and released their emails to the public via WikiLeaks. While WikiLeaks denies Russia was behind the leak, liberals point to Assanges general hardon for Russia (claiming Panama Papers was a Soros hit job on Russians which doesn't really make sense since it exposed people from all over and generally fit his alleged MO in terms of greater transparency as well as the Snowden stuff). There's also evidence that the Russian government funded places to spam the internet with fake stories about Hillary, mostly centers in FYROM

Official narrative is, Russian hackers were the ones who hacked DNC and Podesta, they handed the data over to wikileaks and through that influenced the election.
Calling it 'hacking' is like calling cooking a steak 'torturing a cow through fire'.

It's not hacking that's the issue, it's the deliberate attempt to interfere with and influence the American democratic process.

The "hacking" that allegedly occurred is still being investigated, but likely included attempts to retrieve voter information and records from both major parties. Whether through hacking or because it was handed to them, Russians then released information at opportune times to sabatoge Hillary's chances of winning. They concluded that Hillary as president was not in the best interests of Russia and did everything they could to undermine her campaign.

They didn't change votes or anything. That isn't the claim. They did interfere in our election though and that should be deeply concerning to any American. This pattern has continued with elections across Europe, putting Russia in the spotlight as an enemy of the democratic process.

The fact that so many of Trump's associates and nominees have connections to the kremlin is raising eyebrows but likely won't amount to collusion unless they find that someone shared information. The fact that Trump refuses to acknowledge that Russia interfered with the election is just another case of his mind boggling arrogance and stupidity. The fact that he lives in a fantasyland so detached from reality is distressing.

Like the unanimous conclusion of the entire intelligence community? Go watch Comey's testimony, read the statements of members of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and statements from a variety of RNC and DNC investigations that detected hacking attempts with Russian fingerprints. The notion that Russia attempted to interfere in the election is not really controversial at this point.

Seth rich gave a bunch of DNC insider information to Wikileaks and the DNC blamed russia. There is evidence of russian (and several other places) organizations hacking or trying to hack their stuff, but that evidence is easily faked. Russia did publish propaganda about it but no more than any other country with a strong interest in the outcome really.
