Only plebs and normalfags think that characters in japanese anime/videogames look/are white.
All characters in japanese media are japanese by default. The only exceptions are
1) the characters is introduced as a foreigner/half-foreigner
2) the setting is a fictional world
Most creators of media will usually include subtle differences in facial structures on proper japanese characters and foreigners. Also you pic doesn't count because again, FFXV is set in a fictional world and most fictional world have different concepts of race than our own

Yeah she's got white features, but a Japanese woman with idealized features looks WAY more like that than any white girl. Look at Japanese fashion magazines and you will see plenty of Japanese models that look like that. Also, hafu are very popular in the fashion industry. Again though, white girls don't typically have facial structures like that. She has a way softer face aka Asian face. This is common in Japanese manga/anime/games to do, and Westerners often mistake this as white characters but really they're most likely based off a Japanese face.

So? There's tons of characters with unusual hair/skin/eye color combinations like the Ishvalans in FMA. The point you're trying to make is moot since many of these stories are set in fictional worlds and the ones that aren't try to make distinctions between characters of different races, giving the japanese a distinct look from white people like in the one I just posted earlier

And making games is not supposed to be amount making a cultural statement. Video games are less art and more of an experience. They are not meant to reflect the wants and desires of a society but the need to explore certain concepts and to establish exactly what "fun" is.

Even the most depressing sad game is "fun" to play in the same way that it is "fun" to go on a roller coaster.
