Guys i have been visiting 4chan for more than 5 years now. I usually don't post (meaning never) but at this specific topic i want you to know something, that you can, with a bit of programming, see for yourself. I began studying the yellowstone supervolcano a few years ago, and got angry because i couldnt find any graph showing the earthquake intensity over more than a few years. I wanted a full view, decades. I began feeling like there was some coverup, especially people saying 1:700.000 chance, while it is already overdue is scary. So, with a bit of resarch i found a complete CSV file of all logged earthquakes since they began logging them. I think the CSV file might still be unmanipulated, but who knows. http://quake.utah.edu/earthquake-center/earthquake-catalogs
Then i wrote a program in python to calculate the total kinetic force of all earthquakes in a given year (richter scale to joules), add them, then list year by year. HOLY SHIT. It suddenly exploded, somewhere around 2000, then falling down again, and exploding up in present times. Picture added is graph of intensity. BUT IT GETS WORSE. Scared as shit, i calculated the average distance that the earthqakes where from the surface, weighted by their size. basically to avoid 100 tiny earthquakes outweighing a singe large one, with same total kinetic energy. HOLY FUCKING SHITFUCK. It is getting closer and closer. It started some 6 km down in the 1980 but, slowly, at about 0.5 km pr year, has worked itself up to 4 km. What im scared about is, what if its not 5-4-3-2-1- km to surface, but 5-4-3- BOOM. Then there might be less than a decade left. I can write the program again, but i dont know if any will even believe me. Sorry for the long read. Picture, again, is earthquake intesity by year, linear, from the csv file. (in joules, not richter scale) If anybody wants i might be able to find the graph for depth as well. Either way; just program and analyse for yourself.
