I have no issues with blacks showing up in the American side of any WWII game, they were there after all. That said they were in their own divisions and mixing them in with everyone else is just as much of an issue as adding women from a historical perspective.

The german version of World at War was exactly that though, a reskin. It didn't prevent german copies from playing with other copies.

The only defense I think is that while germany is the only country I know of the bans nazi imagery, streaming services like twitch and youtube might have their own policies. They may be trying to avoid their games getting flagged and removed for content violations on those platforms.

But even then, we all grew up on Call of Duty and Medal of Honor games, so even if that is their argument it's still an unnecessary increase in censorship to please SJWs.
