earlier thread 404d. What drives food prices up so high in Canada compared to the usa?

Socialism
I imagine transport. Canada's landmass is fuckhueg and you have to source everything from outside (I imagine most of it being the U.S.). So getting those foods to you is probably a pretty expensive endeavor.

collapsing dollar due to CDIC meltdown with a plummeting consumer housing credit index, mortgages being bought up by shadow buyers in China etc...
You should be eating less meat anyway, goyim. Meat-eaters produce more testosterone, meaning they're a risk of making more unnecessary goys and at worst they might oppose our firm but benevolent rule.

Probably your country doesn't do the shit the americans do with their vegetables or with raising animals.

This.
Not sure if your government subsidized farms but them not doing it could account for part of the rise.

kek, norwegian prices, without norwegian salaries.
Top kek goyim
a dollar worth 3/4 probably isn't helping...

Literally this
>CAD collapses
>importing food and feed is more expensive
Meanwhile, my organic food is pretty much the same price.

Isn't IGA open 24 hours? Places like that Sobeys too are usually higher priced for that reason

The Canadian dollar is weak, driving up prices. Canada's currency is tied up in oil, and with oil prices lower over the past 12-18ish months, the CAD value has declined. We're seeing a slight rebound now that oil prices are rising again.

Many factors...
Transportation - Canada is a massive landmass so getting goods across the country is much more difficult. Also a lot of Canadian food is imported.
Stricter Regulations - In the USA you get a much wider range of products from substandard, to excellent, and everything in between. In Canada the quality over-all is better due to stricter regulations so you wont find the 'cheap' food you'd see in America. This is especially true for meat and dairy.
Food cartels - In Canada there are select groups which control the food of the entire country or region. Dairy is a great example of this. Cheese and milk in Canada are FAR MORE expensive than in the United States. Yes, the standards of quality are higher, but the cartels control the pricing which makes all the product that much more expensive. Even Trump ranted about this.
The dollar - Our dollar is garbage, and as I mentioned we import a lot of our food. So our dollar goes a lot less further than it used to in international trade.
With that said I live in Southern Ontario and with the exception of milk and meat I don't see that much of a difference.
Good, I hope you fucking leaves dry up and blow away.
Day of rake when?
