Gilead is not the framework to be used. It is an extreme example that cannot truly be implemented or realized. The basic framework of society was used to create the extreme thought experiment of Gilead, and the answer is not to emulate this extreme example but to find ways and reasons to reclaim the earlier framework.

I'd rather get willing women of good stock and create a mentally healthy society of mutual benefit, where we all follow the social construct because we understand it and feel strengthened and protected by it.

The idea that women crave to have all control removed is a misunderstanding of a complex mentality. A society is most healthy and most functional when it finds the right balance between autonomy and structure/enforcement. This applies to both men and women.
