Several years ago Putin organized a program through the Ministry of Defense where they pay Russians to shitpost on popular Internet forums such as /pol/. They program has a hefty budget but the individual Russians involved only receive a small salary.
These Russians use proxies to make it seem as if they are America. They don't post propoganda, that would be too obvious. Instead they treat posting here as more of a raid. They aim to secure information, confuse an adversary with false postings, disrupt personnel or weaken capability.
Every Seth Rich thread is from Russians, for example.
This is supposidly a photo of one of the Russian posters. He posts all day, can barely afford his cramped apartment and his girlfriend spends his salary.
So next time you see an obvious Russian shitpost you know a little more about the background behind it.
