What's the deal with Americans pretending to be black?

In the case of pic related, they're both out for media careers. It's all commercial.

It's because it's profitable to be black. The reality is, for all the talk of "privilege" being a black person comes with all sort of privileges and special programs...

Same with men becoming women - though some of that is social privileges too.

I mean, what about all the white Australians claiming aboriginal heritage to get special programs/benefits?

I have no doubt most really do have aboriginal blood in them somewhere, but nothing to justify getting on the gravy train.
