They loved him when he went onto Piers Morgan and went on a rant about gun rights. To the left Alex Jones was a tool to make mainstream Republicans look less credible. What has changed is that even using someone on the right as a tool to attack the right is now unthinkable because any contact between the left and right that isn't outright hostility is considered treason.

It's a concerted effort to delegitimize those who helped get Trump elected. Lock down all social media platforms with "hate speech algorithms/reporting/blocking/mass muting/shadowbanning" - It's their 2018/2020 election strategy. We need to counter and crush it.
We honestly need to make and build fresh, exciting platforms free of leftist ideological litmus-lens's for content creators. If we don't it will be a shit-show of being shut down digitally and "deplatformed" into social bullying silence.
