I don't understand why, though. We had a governor's race yesterday that will pretty much pave the way for a Democrat governor. Ed Gillespie eaked out a win against a Trump-esque guy, and the left actually produced two pretty decent candidates, and the "inside," wel-vetted candiate won. The left is going to run VA in 2018. That's still really fucking odd. Perriello had a strong backing from Bernie and Warren in the Democratic race yesterday, but he lost to Northam, who is the candidate who would have beaten Gillespie a lot easier later on.

It wasn't even a shocker that Perriello lost. I got into a conversation with the people next to me about how we knew Perriello was going to lose, but we figured he MIGHT win if we're lucky. But we knew that VA is going left regardless if Gillespie was expected to have a hard time with Stewart.

What a fucking loser. His party is going to win anyway.
