The oxygen flow was still very significant from the huge ass holes punched by the planes. Keep in mind the plane punched through to the other side which would have allowed air to flow straight through.

The floors did drop one by one, but at extremely fast speed. Each floor had to support the weight of every single floor above it once the supports failed which caused instantaneous collapse.

They didn't support the building, the walls and core did. The floors only connected the two. They were thin steel with a steel decking and poured concrete with rebar rods placed. Real world tests conducted by MIT with direct fires that burned hotter and longer (2-4 hours) and had heavier weight loads than actually present in the towers, never sagged enough to cause failure.

I just used a chart for 27,000 gallons posted up in this thread. I was too lazy trying to conver 23,000 lbs or whatever the max fuel load is on a 767 to gallons and have to deal with standard temperatures and shit.

I'm reskimming some of the sources I had read a few years ago, but what it boils down to is a few things making a perfect storm. I'm convinced planes without fuel or fuel without planes would not have lead to the collapse. You can't forget that flying a plane into the building causes fires AND knocks out the sprinkler systems. The other big scandal that came out but was covered up, was that during the construction of the WTC, asbestos fire insulation was banned in NYC in 1971. Per this fox article, only up to the 64th floor was asbestoed.1
