>tfw voted DUP to keep out Sinn fein
>tfw DUP ends up in government
We Government now. We control the UK. Feelsgoodman.jpg
>a group of 10 North Irish are now the most powerful people in parliament
huh
I found it quite notable that as much of a fit our media threw about how May is DONE and she FAILED that only on /pol/ have I ever heard DUP be mentioned.
Cheers! Go hard and never look back.

The Tories failed to get a majority, the goal of an early election was increasing their majority. So they're not wrong in the media.

No, not wrong, but it was already obvious what angle they were taking, calling for May's ouster and the end of Brexit etc.
If it were fair reporting, they would have put more emphasis on the new balance of party power, and what it might all mean. It was similar to coverage of French elections -- nothing but 100 reasons why Le Pen was shit and couldn't win, and about 2 reasons each for why the next alternative in the row would obviously win (all wrong predictions of course until Macron surged at the last minute.)

aye indeed it does

Macron was pretty much always ahead i. 2nd round polling. The media covered the right story, she called snap elections because she thought they'd win easily and instead she lost the Tories their majority. Of course she should be ousted. She's a terrible leader.

Might be different in DR. Here, nobody talked about Macron because he was a nobody from a nothing party.
But if you watched the pattern of shilling on /pol/, you also saw it jump from one candidate to the next but a little bit ahead of time, and then Macron popped up and you could see how all of a sudden this was the agreed-upon solution. Media was playing catch-up the whole time by trying to push for anybody who wasn't Le Pen.

Also, if you had read British media you'd know about it. Why would CNN or Fox News assume that Americans care about the intricacies of parliamentary government? They don't. They deal wish flashy headlines. You could be easily gotten it from The Economist, or even The Atlantic as an American source.

Maybe you should actually follow an actual news site then. Bloomberg, The Atlantic, and plenty of others had dozens of articles up on Macron.

The Economist runs a paywall last I checked. The Atlantic is oldschool globalist stuff. Good if you want to know what they're talking about in basically a round table group, but no surprises after you learn how to read in to normie mass propaganda.
Bloomberg business is pretty decent last I followed it. But here again we're dealing with a world where finances are all shenanigans and psychological warfare is the tool in effect.

For instance: I was surprised to hear about the French elections in the normie news at all. Usually maybe that would be worth a few side mentions for the self-anointed intellectchals.
But they just went on and on about it. What does that tell you? That tells you (((they))) were good and spooked about some kind of wave of nationalist sentiment upsetting the political apple cart. Even after (((they))) thought it was put to rest with the failure of Geert to ride in on a white horse.
