The people pushing gun control want to oppress you for their own benefit, but they're afraid of the populace revolting in response to their shit. So the first step is to defang the populace.

They claim that they want to reduce gun crime and reduce gun fatalities, but we know that this is false and that they truly want to impose tyranny because their gun control laws almost entirely target long-arms. Long-arms, black guns, military style guns. Whatever you call them, they're responsible for almost zero gun crime and so few gun deaths that they can be lost in rounding errors.

In contrast the firearms that are most commonly used in crimes and are responsible for the most gun deaths, small concealable hand guns, are comparatively ignored by gun control laws and are almost worthless for overthrowing a corrupt government.
It's also to note that gun control laws do fuck-all at reducing crime. Stricter gun control may reduce GUN crime but it dramatically INCREASES violent crime as a whole.
