Not at all. I assume everyone's a leftist. I'm pleasantly surprised if they aren't. I can't imagine it's any different in modern Germany. Unless you accept the meme that parties like the Christian Democrats are "center right"

If someone doesn't believe in the efficiency of self-interest, I simply propose that wealth redistribution should never violate self ownership. Most of them wouldn't dare to disagree with that in public. True leftists deny the very concept of self ownership, and that opinion is extremely unpopular even in socialist circles.

The sad realization is that this doesn't just apply to dumb people. It's "normies." People who are satisfied with the status quo and never ever thought to question it. In a top law school and then the legal field, I'm surrounded by extremely smart people. But they're all Hillary-supporting democrats who watch Marvel movies and baseball -- only difference between them and the middle America masses is they'll throw on pastels to go to the Kentucky Derby rather than checker coats to go to the Indy 500 and they shop at Target and Whole Foods rather than Walmart. These are smart people, but they're 100% bought in.

Communism and postcommunism aside, I would be a socialist myself if we had any manufacturing left. But there are no plants left, there are no working people to represent, from social-democrats to Greens (most perfidious degenerates) all they want is to import 3rd world brown people (social divisions to make, victims to help, EU gibs to claim), LGBT rights and anticlericalism (despite it's the only thing that keeps us together).

We saw what happened to the West, someone who is a leftist wants only your destruction (because of stupidity or cynicism), wants to literally shit in his own nest. Healthy society, which we are not, should reject those people. Show them mercy, show them a little bit of weakness and you are done, you are fucking gone
