Now she will destroy the centrist support of her party by giving in to a bunch of DUP demands to secure their support, ensuring a Labour victory the next election. And the tory government won't hold the whole period, so we will get the socialist ruled UK sooner than expected.

LADS how can the Tories win the next general election? We cannot allow Corbyn to be prime minister but it seems likely if we're forced into an election this year. Seems to me it all depends on who is the next Tory leader, but I can't think of a single candidate who can change things...

Boris Johnson - embodies everything the Remainers hated and would lead to a huge backlash in the polls. The yoof associate him with Donald Trump. The ordinary person might find worries in how unstable he seems - he's seen as oafish rather than serious. Plus, does he even want to inherit the current failing Tory party?

David Davis - given his humble backgrounds as a self-made man, he seems a very good choice for public respect. He could do it, but it would be difficult.

Amber Rudd - I think she's too tarnished with the image of being Theresa May's lackey. It would not look good to be so connected to May given how disastrously she's gone down. She is, however, an able speaker and very neutral. I think she did very well in the debate despite the hand she was dealt (a poor campaign, all the candidates against her, a dead father). She wouldn't be a disastrous leader.

Philip Hammond - inspires no intrigue and would probably fare poorly against a populist like Corbyn. But that being said, we haven't seen much of him at all. He could be good for all I know. He certainly is a more centrist figure when it comes to Brexit.

Priti Patel - yes, her name has been flung around a bit. Though it might be too soon in her career to be PM, David Cameron was of course quite inexperienced. She is also a 'new (attractive) face' for the public, and an apt speaker. She was pro-leave. As an asian woman, she would also go against a lot of Tory stereotypes and could gain some young supporters in the way Ruth Davidson did.

I'm out of space. There are more candidates though.

In the UK, whites are over-represented in abortion figures. It is not the same as in the U.S where blacks and other minorities are vastly over-represented.

There are reasons for this - for example the relative irreligious nature of the UK white population compared to the U.S and the subsequent lack of taboo around abortion that this brings.

Banning abortion in the UK would raise the white birth %. Not by much, but it still would.

Lads, don't feel bad. You're young. You didn't lurk. You fell for the democracy meme.
There will be no Brexit. It'll be Brexit in name only. FoM will stay. We'll get some concessions on gibs, but we'll pay back what we save some other way.
Nupol shilled hard for Ruth. You somehow convinced yourself that an obese lesbians was /yourguy/. You'll start to understand more when you hit your 30's. /pol/ is never wrong, but you ridiculed the oldfags who warned you all. You adopted SJW personality cult mindsets and refused to engage in dialogue with dissenters.

Ruth believes she can kill off the SNP by killing off (hard) Brexit. Sturgeon wanted to remain in the single market and a seat at the table. Ruth will give it to her. Indyref2 will be dead. Britain will effectively stay in the EU. Ruth will have everything she wanted a year ago. Well played her.
>inb4 SNP is already dead
It's vote went down 1.6%. It was a few hundred votes off 50 seats (some seats were tighter than Widdecombes vag). It still got more than half the seats and almost half the vote. The next election will be different. Fewer Lab voters will lend the Tories their votes (anticipating an actual Lab win). Brexit will be less of an issue.

Would it really be a bad idea for the Tories to step aside and let Corbyn/Labour attempt a minority government?

They're 64 seats short of a majority (58 if you ignore the Speakers and SF).

They would need the SNP, the Lib Dems, the Greens, Plaid Cymru, and the (ex-UUP...) independent MP just to take them to 315 seats. That's not even enough for a working majority. The only way that Labour can govern is with the DUP.

Even with every single non-Tory MP on board, they're still 1 short of a real majority.
And more importantly, there's absolutely no chance of pleasing the Greens, DUP, and Lib Dems at the same time. Their program would be an absolute disaster and the government could collapse at any moment. And moreover, the best way to kill of the socialism meme is to actually put it into practise and let it kill itself.

Meanwhile, this would give the Tories room to get their shit together and even possibly become an actual conservative Conservative Party (see: https://www.bowgroup.org/news/bow-group-calls-conservative-party-grassroots-revolution).

Give me one good reason why the best possible solution for us, for the Tories, and for Britain as a whole.

>European diplomats have told me that triggering Article 50 can be rescinded. UK only leaves EU when signing a deal in 2 years time

Nope, the exit became effective the moment you handed in your resignation notice. You now have 22 months left to make a deal (or not) but at the end of that period you're out unless ALL remaining members agree to extend the period.

What will happen is that the UK will become like Norway: forced to implement every single EU legislation, but without having a say in it. :^) good job, bongs.

obvious pick would be big man Edward I for gassing the yids and being hard as fuck. The embodiment of the Medieval King
Any other standouts though?

Henry V was a a top nigga desu. Edward IV was a total lad with mad banter. Henry VI was total cuck mode. Henry II worth a mention.

i want to shill this normie podcast. I've been listening to it for a few months now. Goes through all the English Monarchs from Alfred the Great to Big Lizzy II (and then through the Scottish kings too).

https://rexfactor.podbean.com/

really though, worth a listen if like me you're a common pleb. Kind of embarrassed I barely knew any of this. Not even the Wars of the Roses. Though I'm Scottish and all I remember of history class in high school Boudica, William Wallace (Mel Gibson), and the Holocaust when I was 12-13 years old. I got top marks for a report I did on Himmler. Attached pictures of piles of emaciated dead Jews using prit-stick and teacher was impressed.

I dunno man I'm fucking blown away learning about this. I just finished up with the entire Plantagenet Dynasty episodes and reading a bit on wikipedia. What a fucking amazing timeline. Every King and ever year could be made into a high drama historical epic.

You just know this will happen. I don't know why people trust the Conservatives as a stable party. They fall for this meme every time, they're a snake pit. Remember Thatcher? Ousted by her own colleagues after a landslide victory. May is toast.

It's ironic that we are now essentially relying on Blairites to stop the Labour party from turning us into Venezuela.
>>
I've gone over it in my head lads and the only way that the blairites can stop Corbyn is to kill him or otherwise incapacitate him, ensure no candidate gets the nominations required for a membership ballot and then undergo a mass purge of the membership

The role of the opposition party, in the case of a failed government formation by the incumbent, is to attempt to form a government themselves.
Here are the possibilities

>Somehow May stays with DUP in power
Corbyn will build support and her position will become untenable

>May is replaced and Tories go on
Unlikely as BoJo and Rudd have both said they support May (although could U-turn). Labour would build up momentum under this cabal

>National Unity Govt
Looks like it might be lead by Gove, olive branching Corbyn, will be pro-Brexit, but soft. Election after 2 years

>Tories fail to put forward a leader / form a government
Labour will form a minority government, possibly with support of other parties, or even Tory rebels. He has enough popular support / mandate to do this.

I predict May won't last the week. Corbyn will end up in government within 2 years.

Every party other than the Conservatives and the DUP, including Sinn Fein, only adds up to 322 seats. In order to actually pass bills, they would either need the DUP or Tory MPs to suddenly agree with them. In what way does this mean they should form the minority government? Why would it be OK for the DUP to support them? On top of this, they're not even suggesting a coalition, but just that the parties that agree with them would just vote with them and that Labour would be the primary government.

Makes me wonder if he's the kind of person who would try to pass laws to prevent the opposition from ever taking power if he had an outright majority.

The number of immigrants from outside the EU decreased from 2010 onwards, the number coming from the EU massively increased. The Tories assumed that people were racist and thus would be fine with massive polish immigration rather than pakistani immigration. The people of Britain actually just want both groups to go back and the demographics of the 1990s to come back.
>>
>>129460371
They sure didn't win the election, but given that between the election being called and polling day we went from May getting consistently high approval ratings and Corbyn being a scruffy joke to May not even getting a majority without Irish sectarians' help and Corbyn leading the biggest Labour revival in decades it's hard to really say they lost.

free market liberals haven't understood yet that people are done with unregulated global trade while destrying any form of social security
the next stage will be fascism or socialism
fascism is currently winning, but as liberals keep loosing elections, the left is not ready to vote for them anymore because at least they promise social liberalism
socialism is getting closer and closer every election
Sanders, Melonchon, Corbyn
Yes, those are all losses, but they are way closer than anything we hat just a couple of years ago

Neither party can effectively govern.
This will trigger the Ulsterman, but the Tory/DUP deal isn't going to fly. The British government has to remain neutral in Northern Ireland. The establishment civil servants (Sir Humphrey's) and the foreign office mandarins won't put up with it. The Tory Party grandees won't put up with it. The likes of John Major are not silent behind the scenes. The Conservative Party is the party of national security and the national interest. The honourable old guard won't risk a return of the troubles for short-term political gain.
On the other hand, Corbyn can't get a Queen's Speech through either, even if all others support him. Only if the Tories abstained, could he get in. That won't happen.
We're heading for another election in a matter of weeks. Most know it, but are in temporary denial while desperately trying to figure out their strategy.
A cross-party commission for Brexit is now inevitable. Negotiations will be delayed until after the German elections. We're heading for an EFTA type deal with FoM by another name. There will be some extra conditions, but nothing significant.
Sorry lads, but this is the democracy meme in action. They always get their way in the end. You'll realise as you get older. You'll become as jaded as us oldfags, and give up on the whole charade. Hopefully, you'll find some positive meaning in more important aspects of life - family, faith, community. Politics is a game for public schoolboys (I was one of those, once). It isn't for plebs like you.
