Rogaine definitely works, but it's masking the underlying issue. By flooding the follicles with blood you will regain thickness, but eventually you will lose at such a rate that the Rogaine won't help the minituarized hair folllicles.

Finasteride/propecia keeps your DHT levels low, that is what makes mens hair fall out. For whatever reason it makes beards thicken, and the follicles on your head swell up and shut down.

However, taking DHT makes a lot of guys feel like shit, makes their loads watery, and has some sexual sides which are undesireable. That is why it's easier to just get a transplant, even then it will all just fall out again if you don't use rogaine and propecia.

Almost everyone in this thread is a retard or a troll, I don't know why but I expected an actual discussion of proper hair loss treatment but it was nothing but Canadians yelling " LOL stop fapping I get so much pussy stupid baldies XD" and retards talking about putting "chemicals" in your body being bad, as if that isn't what your body is made of, chemicals. For anyone who actual wants help with hairloss know that there are essentialy 4 treatments at the moment.
1: Rogaine, it's like a shampoo that is believed to encourage blood to your scalp, which helps hair grow. WARNING this is not permanent and will make hair grow anywhere it touches where there is hair. It also kills cats if they touch it.
2: Finasteride, it's a pill made to shrink prostates, it lowers dht levels or prevents it from binding with hair follicles, I forget which. It will stop hairloss entirely and might cause hair regrowth on it's own, may cause limp dick and fertility problems which also may be permanent though the effects are rather rare, your mileage may vary.
3: herbal supplements, these might work if your young, they include spearmint tea and saw palmetto etc. Good luck with it though.
4: hair transplants, they take hair from the back of your head, which is resistant to hair loss, and place it at the front. It's expensive and you need to have the hair loss under control in the first place or you will continue to lose hair but with the transplanted hair staying.
