The problem is that paganism is a catch-all term. What most pro-pagan autistics on /pol/ are referring to is barbarian paganism. Which was in direct opposition to the Roman pantheon anyway.

At the end of the day it's more about culture than the religion itself. Roman paganism is debatable, but barbarian paganism was definitely inferior to Catholicism.
