When did climate change become a left wing thing?
I get you guys believe that man kinds effect on climate change is mostly minimal, but what's the problem with atleast trying to minimalize our impact, what's wrong with investing in renewable energy? I think it's less you guys thinking you're right and you just hating leftists and therefore hating anything they care about even if they're right on some issues

I see nothing wrong with renewable energy or minimizing impact. No one wants to breath shitty cancer inducing air.
It's the way they act about it. Their constant cries of 'We need to act NOW!' While not offering any solutions, but imposing massive taxation as punishments.
As much as I dislike Elon Musk, at least he does shit and puts his money where his mouth is.

In 1988, a former Canadian Minister of the Environment told editors and reporters of the Calgary Herald: “No matter if the science of global warming is all phony…climate change [provides] the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.”
In 1996, former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev emphasized the importance of using climate alarmism to advance socialist Marxist objectives: “The threat of environmental crisis will be the international disaster key to unlock the New World Order.”

My village alone raised 80 million € for a wind farm without the use of any bank beside the local Volksbank and Sparkasse. Same with the solar farm and the biogas plants.
It's a huge boost for the rural areas where our country and society still work. Exploiting city dwellers is the best way to counter their influence. If you live in a city, move to a town istead.

Also, academia is leftist heaven and they are inserting value statements into science which renders it totally suspect of fraud and bias. Which IS a huge issue in climate science.
No rightwinger ever balked at the idea of accomplishing energy independence from saudi arabia or market forces choosing a better alternative to coal. they also dont hate the environment. Energy efficiency is good pragmatic fiscal conservation.
We just fucking HATE meddling little pissants in the government trying to wrest control of every aspect of our lives, like what motherfucking lightbulbs to use.
