That is also what I always say to my family, my dad just doesn't understand he is from a different time, my sister does still study at soon 25 and there is just a little chance she can get a job after. My friend just finished web design and programming yet he could still not find a job.

Without education there would be no Western civilization, it is absolutely essential, particularly the natural sciences and technology-related fields.
Sure the humanities and social sciences less so, at least economically, but you can't fucking question education altogether.
Without it we'd still be peasants working on land for feudal lords.
