So what do you think the future will bring us?
I'm convinced the Tiger will secure Aleppo all the way to the Iitriyah-Tabqa highway before purping the eastern Hama countryside.

The question is, which road will he take to Suknah? I painted all the possible ways in orange but i think he will take the fourth one capturing all the villages and towns along the way. It will reach the foot of Mount Bishri and hinder any SDF landgrabs down south. It will encircle a big sector of mountains, a valley and wasteland which may prove to be a nuissance though.
Afterwards the road can be used to conquer Mount Bishri which will be imperative to secure the northwestern flank of the Suknah-DeZ road.

It's that, or they invert the 4 first orange arrows and clear the gap AFTER taking Suknah.
They for sure won't let the west-nortwest-north area of Suknah go untouched atleast.

Please chime in.

Most likely positive to Assad as they will probably pull their support for their proxies to piss off Saudi and would bring them closer to Iran and Russia. Theyre that sort of country.

Many possible outcomes are possible, but I wouldn't overreact, best thing that can for Syria happen is Qatar/Iran normalization of diplomatic relations, the worst could be making Qatar a scapegoat for terrorist funding, or even estabilishing a western-backed government overseas.

>Duterte: I want all terrorists dead

“I will not talk to you. Whatever the leaders of the group say, I don’t care. That is why make sure you fight well because I have ordered [the military] to bring the heads of these sons of bitches,” Mr. Duterte said in a speech at Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu province.

Mr. Duterte said he had ordered troops to “shoot [the enemy] and shoot [them] dead.”

Im not saying his son should marry Assad's daughter. Erdogan is corrupt. But can Assad ally with him against this SDF threat? Yes. Can he fully trust him? No. With the kurds, its impossible for Assad to do anything as theyre fully in the US camp right now. If the SDF wasnt a US proxy it would be a different matter.

All I'm saying is you are just trading one shitty situation for another, and Erdogan has the capacity to be more of a hindrance to Syria than the the kurdshits if he tries to undermine Assad again.
I partially agree with what you're saying too, don't get me wrong, but when this whole shitshow is over I believe the Kurds will be left by themselves (to a certain extent) from US involvement, and then Assad or whoever comes after him can deal with them by coming up with a Syrian solution to the problem, one that doesn't involve Erdogan.
>>
>>128654270
Because then the Turks and Americans would still be friends while still destroying ISIS. As it is, we'll be destroying ISIS but alienating the Turk.

See, if kurds do manage to hold all this without the turks, SAA or PMU attacking them they will have Western backing and a US presence.
No one will care if Assad engages the turks or their proxies. Having the SDF is really complicating matters.
The situation isnt ideal, but having a turkish proxy is less of a threat than a kurdish region supporting by the West and Israel with US troops.
>>
>>128654530
while i agree that it's important for the US to maintain relatively amicable relations with the eternal Turk, they are fine where they are now. they already have a lot of territory. I think in the long-term it would be a mistake to further encourage their growth, especially because we don't know what's going to happen once Erdomeme finally leaves power

Those were temporary solutions to immediate "problems." The thinking was that the fallout could be controlled and subsequent problems could be mitigated through social engineering. interesting, almost all SAA sources are saying that helicopters can no longer land in the 137th brigade.

Only countries that pay their share would be defended. So if NATO fell apart, it would their own choice. The clerics hate the monarch. You should have seen the shitstorm when the King had the gall to mandate 20% of his advisory council be female.

There is no alternative to the House of Saud except direct clerical rule. If the monarchy fell, you'd basically have Afghanistan circa 2000, but with way more money and control of Islam's holiest sites and a massive chunk of the world's oil. That's a fucking nightmare. If avoiding that means putting up with the King and his political games with the clergy (like letting them promote their sect internationally) then fine. The world isn't perfect.

That's an example of one of the countless factions that exist. There are huge numbers of think tanks and lobbyists in the USA, all with their own agendas. Some of them have shared goals, others are diametrically opposed to one another. The factions that are able to gather the most support are the ones able to affect the most change in foreign policy. The marginalized groups then seek other avenues , such as through NGOs and intelligence agencies, to accomplish their agenda when they do not control the conventional avenues of power

Qatars military is almost non existent and they've relied on CentComs main headquarters being in their capital as a buffer from attacks but I doubt that the Saudis will actually invade. With Iran offering to provide food and other essentials I can see the Qatari government having their proxies in Syria fight the Saudis proxies or maybe even have their fighters switch to pro-Assad, highly doubt it though, maybe even do something to help the Houthis and their allies in Yemen.

>much of the population are utterly religiously brainwashed
According to a gallup poll, 19% of Saudi Arabians are not religious and 5% are atheists. That's one of the highest rates in any arab country.
I doubt that a large part of the population is brainwashed, as you say. Stupidly conservative and backwards culture? Yes, but religious extremism? I doubt so.

You're using a situational theory to protect an incorrect underlying ideology.

The real battle is between the ideologies, not the borders.

It doesn't matter what fictional series of events could take place in Saudi Arabia if their power is removed because Abdullah Garbage Bin doesn't fucking matter. THE PERVERTED IDEOLOGY OF WAHHABI/SALAFISTS IS THE PROBLEM

the borders, the monarchies, the mercenaries... just layers above the real issue

When you get to the root of things, the evil is the same in the West as it is in the Middle east.

Evil = Systematic objectification of "The Other" in order to fulfill one's desires at their expense

Manifests itself as Military Industrial Complex in West and Wahhabi Extremism in Middle East

They converge geographically

well, if europe is being accused of doing the vidding of a select few ( i don't know if u are referring to the jews or to plutcrats in general) then my point is that your accusation is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. your plutocrats have at various times insisted on the invasion and subjugation of nearby neighbours because the banana business was going south. not to mention the fact that halliburton continued to enrich dick cheney even while he was vp and feeding huge contracts to them.

Sure yeah. So your King just died at the Battle of Varna fighting dirty Muslims and you have a Regency Council.
Your main goals should be forming a personal union with Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and later a real one. Also offensive politics eventually leading to a war against the Teutonic Order.
Other than that making diplomatical efforts to heat the conflicts in HRE, while trying to maintain good relations with Bohemia and Hungary. If it's possible in a game tho, no idea.

someone brought me food so didn't have to leave house. Will say this about ideology

>you can't kill an idea
is not justification for not protecting the world against it

THIS IS WHY safegaurds need to be built into society to protect against what is an inherent flaw in human nature!!! at any point in time, any doctrine or idea could be radicalized by a zealot.

Its a human systems issue. U.S. constitution is good example of having safegaurds against power abuse and radicalization built into system. CIA is good example of deterioration and human misery that can occur if these safegaurds are circumvented.

The Wahhabi ideology must have it's power removed. Saudi Arabia, whether clerics are in power or not (I need to do more research here) is perpetuating this ideology globally and injecting power into it. It will not survive

Attacking Saudi Arabia WILL NOT solve the Wahhabi problem, I ABSOLUTELY guarantee that.

The best you can do is support the King as he tries to modernize the country in baby steps, pulling reformist shit when he can get away with it, doing so slowly the clerics wont' realize things are changing until it's too late.
