>Updated NASA Data: Global Warming Not Causing Any Polar Ice Retreat

>Updated data from NASA satellite instruments reveal the Earth’s polar ice caps have not receded at all since the satellite instruments began measuring the ice caps in 1979. Since the end of 2012, moreover, total polar ice extent has largely remained above the post-1979 average. The updated data contradict one of the most frequently asserted global warming claims – that global warming is causing the polar ice caps to recede.

The timing of the 1979 NASA satellite instrument launch could not have been better for global warming alarmists. The late 1970s marked the end of a 30-year cooling trend. As a result, the polar ice caps were quite likely more extensive than they had been since at least the 1920s. Nevertheless, this abnormally extensive 1979 polar ice extent would appear to be the “normal” baseline when comparing post-1979 polar ice extent.

Yes it will, many smaller countries could use US withdrawal to influence their population. Climate change is only as strong as the belief people put in it. When one of the world strongest economy say fuck it. It will have effect worldwide, even if the US build a strong pro climate legislation. Which you won't do since your president is an absolute moron. He proved that during his Euro tour. (especially during the Nato meeting)

And global warming is not about Ice melting it's about not reaching a certain threshold where the temp is high enough to change the osmotic ratio of CO2 contained in the Ocean. If temp goes higher, the Co2 a large amount of Co2 currently dissolved in the ocean will get released increasing the effect in a way which will become basically uncontrollable for humans. Also No, Forbes is not a proper source when you talk about science.

And how many times have the models been corrected because their predictions were wrong? In case you didn't know, it happens every few years. "The Great Pause" is one such example. The models haven't predicted anything accurately on such a grand scale and we have no reason to believe that they will. Navier Stokes works on smaller scales for things like home irrigation and rivers; it's never worked on the scale of the entire Earth. There's a reason the model is non-linear and that's because we don't know everything that actually goes into it. Multiply this by the scale of the Earth and you get massive error. How do you expect us to believe these models can accurately depict what's going to happen in 10 years when the same models can't accurately tell us whether or not it'll rain next week?

Notice how "Climate Change" changed from "Global Warming"
It's not insane or stupid to constantly question, in fact, that's what scientists studying this have done as well (hence the name change).
We're finding out now that science isn't backing up the claims rallied for a while ago. If we are to be truly scientific, we must change those viewpoints with data, otherwise we're committing to acts of confirmation bias.
Also you can't point to an accurate number to suggest how much humans are responsible for. It certainly isn't all, and it certainly isn't none, its somewhere in-between. Also, if say 30% is caused by us, that leaves a 70% of which we have no control of. This is the fatal flaw of this theory; sure you can do everything in your power to truly reduce, but whats the end result and is it measurable? And can we base results on this measurement.
Nobody on the right thinks climate change itself is a hoax, but the forces behind it may be. The reasons for this mindset are obvious failures of prediction mixed with obvious political gains made by it. Notice how the EU didn't want to renegotiate? It's because they knew the jig is up. Notice how they were soft-handed on China vs the US, who's policies would essentially remain unchanged compared to the US in regards to tangible action and the massive amounts of money needed? This accord would of done nothing other than put us in a position to be taken advantage of, and even climate scientists said it did little to nothing.

you won't understand wtf i'm talking about unless you look into these things for yourself. so, you can do that (takes effort)... or blindly continue to go along with their agenda. whatever.

did you know having ice cap is an anomaly? did you know that the earth has been ice cap free for ~90% of its existence? did you know by definition ice caps only exist during ice ages? did you know we are at the tail end of a CURRENT ice age now? did you know the caps extended as far down as missouri/kentucky just 20,000 years ago and have been receding ever since that peak? did you know the caps are going bye-bye even if every person on the planet disappeared 20,000 years ago?

THE OCEAN'S RELEASE *ALL ON ITS OWN* IS FAR LARGER AND MORE IMPORTANTLY *OUT ACCELERATING* MANS CONTRIBUTION

THE OCEAN IS RELEASING MORE DUE TO WARMER TEMPS (WARMER WATER = IT'S A FAR LESS EFFECTIVE C02 SINK)

IF HUMANS NEVER AROSE CO2 WOULD BE INCREASING AT ALMOST THE EXACT SAME RATE AS IT IS RIGHT NOW

THIS HAPPENS AT THE END OF EVERY ICE AGE

STOP BEING SO FUCKING GULLIBLE AND LAZY

LOOK INTO THINGS FOR YOURSELF AND STOP TAKING WHAT THE MSM, EPA.GOV AND NASA.GOV ETC. TELL YOU AT FACE VALUE, YOU LAZY SHITS. IT IS ABOUT POWER AND CONTROL.

ICE AGES AND PERMANENT ICE *ARE AN ANOMALY*

BY DEFINITION AN "ICE AGE" IS WHEN THE EARTH HAS PERMANENT ICE SHELVES

WE HAD ICE A MILE THINK IN CINCINNATI JUST 20,000 YEARS AGO

THE PLANET IS WARMING AND THE CAPS ARE METLING

THAT MEANS = MORE CO2, SEA RISE AND WEATHER PATTERN CHANGES

WE CAN'T STOP OR ALTER IT, WE WILL ADAPT

STOP BEING COWED INTO TAX SCHEMES AND GLOBALIST POWER PLAYS YOU ABSOLUTE BRAINLETS
>>
>>128629761
Of course the human impact is small compared to the other sources of CO2, THAT IS THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT. It's big enough to make us pass the threshold where the osmotic equilibrium get screwed, Co2 gets poured out of the ocean and then yeah, we can emit as much as we want that one point, won't change much, because the effect will be strong enough to maintain itself by it's own, and that's the point where we are screwed.
Your shit is just another example on how the data has been taken out of context by fucking politicians to make up their fucking point.

In the meantime, Trump prevails, the mad bull elephant of the Republican herd, majestically swinging his trunk against everything breakable in the political china shop while trumpeting “Covfefe! Covfefe!” The Paris Accords were just another feel-good PR stunt enabling politicians to pretend that they could control forces that are already way out-of-hand, an international vanity project of ass-covering. The coming economic collapse will depress global industrial activity whether anybody likes it or not, and despite anyone’s pretense of good intentions — and then we will have a range of much more practical problems of everyday life to contend with.

Of course, Trump cannot possibly see it that way, given his wish to bring back the America of humming factories and happy workers seeing the USA in their Chevrolets and all that. That fantasy will eventually fade as the inability to get anything done in Washington becomes manifest and obvious. When the “basket of deplorables” sees their hopes dribble away, they will start in with serious mischief of their own, without Trump having to prompt them. Then it will be a quixotic battle between them and the BLM / SJW proxies that the higher-up chickenshits of DemProgdom have so carefully groomed as their vanguard. There will be blood.

Yes, Mr. P, America has lost its mind. The whole thing has turned into some kind of nonstop Kardashian tranny monster truck shit-show of manufactured melodrama and lost causes, inducing a kind of global nausea that may ultimately prove more fatal than the rising surface temperature and melting icecaps. Russia, to its credit, and whatever else you think about it, has some regard for its own survival. Our country prefers the excitement of self-destruction.

Article written by a non-scientist who, unsurprisingly, got tons wrong:

Some quotes:
>As is clearly explained in a recent article from Carbon Brief, sea ice behavior in the Arctic and Antarctic is responding to climate change in different ways, and we know why.

>Because the Antarctic is so much colder than the Arctic, it takes a much larger temperature increase to affect the sea ice, but eventually global warming will cause this sea ice to decline, as well.

>The article is misleading and completely incorrect. It appears that the article is lumping together sea ice and ice sheets, although perhaps the author does not know the difference between sea ice and the ice on Greenland and Antarctica.

> polar ice area is not nearly as telling as polar ice mass or volume, so the metric that the author uses is extremely misleading.

Try not to get information from an industry shill, please.

Why America is WRONG about this:
> While absolutly not enough by itself, COP21 accords are a start. It's mostly an organized bragging contest inciting goverments to promise efforts towards the environnement. And it works, India and China doubled their environemental budget since the accords.

> Even if it's not enough, the alternative by trump is apparently doing nothing or making thing worse with "clean" coal or "hydrolic" (actually toxic chemicals) fraking.

> Clinging to fossil energies because it keeps job in your country is pretty much horseshoe makers claiming cars are ruining the economy. Green energy creates a shiton of qualified jobs.

> Trump basically told everyone a big fuck you and lost immediatly a part of the US international influence. Foreign countries have a now a perfect excuse to discard american products and make deals with other countries. No usual economical organisms will be able to blame a country who will ignore the US (like when Venezuela got raped because they tried to sell oil in euros). International influence isn't a joke, it's your bread and butter.

> Do you really believe coal mines are the future ? Really ? How good is the coal lobbyism ?

> Whining about China not promising any CO2 reductions is logical because many parts of their country still need industrialization (while western countries don't) but it hides the fact they have the largest environemental budget in the world and are pionnering on green energies, do you really want to be left behind on green technologies ? If you want to find the real assholes in the COP21 accords, it would be Saudi Arabia who put pressure so fossil energies wouldn't be mention at all. But Trump love the saudis.

Human affect on the climate is simply impossible to correlate with the time scales we've been tracking.
Paleoclimatalogy research confirms the Earth has a cyclical temperature, CO2, particle, glacial periods etc. etc. These cycles ebb and flow for millions of years and Humans weren't around to effect this. (OR WERE THEY?!)

Temperature variation through human history in my opinion may be closer related to Sunspot activity. The Wolf Minimum for example correlates with of the Medieval Warm period and the start of the little ice age which persisted somewhere around 1850.

Now I can't debate the merits of environmentalism to the point of negligibly but when our global temperature is comparative to the pre-industralized medieval world: I do believe we are, and always have been, largely at the mercy of nature.

Anyway your well paid job is to check something, that does not exist.
And the first few years you beLIEve in that.
Then you figure out that it does not exist.
Would you tell the world, that what you are checking does not exist?
No, because doing so would be stupid. You would lose your well paid job.

OP is just a faggot '''''''''trolling''''''''''', but consider this for a sec
Some of you might even believe that global warming/climate change is real. Consider this.
Climate change is going to destroy the world soon, this is what they are telling us. Climate change is fucking SERIOUS, it's not just some increase in degrees, it's a global catastrophic event is threatening our survival as a species, according to ''scientists'' anyway.
Ok. Now answer me this. Why aren't we more freaked out about it? You'd think that if we are about be exterminated we would have more drastic of a response than to call America to pay 100 billion for some retarded plan that is supposed to lower Earth's temperature by 1 degree in 100 years.

If things were so bad, you would think that we would be flipping out, and what we would be proposing is killing half of the world's population. We could easily just go into Africa and Asia, and kill them all. Just kill them all. Save the planet. All our global warming problems would be completely fixed. Yet we aren't going that road. It's almost as if ''global warming'' isn't as serious or even real threat as it is made to sound like.

Actually no. The reason America doesn't like the paris agreement is because we will pay 90% of it. GFY
The United States contributed $1 billion to the global Green Climate Fund, but the world's top polluters contributed nothing, David Asman reported.

Asman said on "Forbes on Fox" that China, Russia and India contributed no money to the Green Climate Fund, yet that international community pressured the U.S. to join the Paris Climate Accord.

Steve Forbes said that the billion-dollar payment is another reason why President Trump was smart to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris agreement.

What are you trying to prove here buddy?
You're trying to save the polar bears and mother nature? Tough luck, i haven't met an African or Chinese who didn't want Airmaxes and drive a Lamborghini.

The trouble is that there is no conclusive evidence burning massive amounts of fossil resources causes global warming. There's other variables involved, like the intensity of the sun, distribution of solar irradiation. Thank fuck it's not getting any colder, because you can't farm on fucking glaciers.

You're saying "it's science" but it's just an ill-fitting model to get us to open our wallets and thrash our cars and buy a fucking Prius. And the model's are really ill-fitting. As in; they're fucking worthless. The thing with the osmotic balance is just some hypothesis that's impossible to prove.

You're the fucking idiot dude, you know nothing about how money starved environmental scientists were before they discovered they could just scream about disaster and get money. It's also why the predictions get more dire every year; once we get accustomed to the threat, the grants stop flowing.

Maybe in 4d chess i can understand we need to conserve fossil resources as a strategic resource, but fuck that shit, i need me some Airmaxes and a minivan.

Yes it is dumbass. A belief is something a person holds to be true. I could believe that the earth is possibly flat.
I will then try to surmise that belief into a statement I can test (a hypothesis), and then that hypothesis will be put to the test (experimentation). With the results of that experimentation (analysis) I will then adjust my beliefs, and either adjust my hypothesis or create a new one, until I finally arrive at something that I can generalise (a theory) and/or prove (a proof).

Average temp, not daily temp.
Meaning that if the avg temp changes 10 degrees, your winters will be 10 degrees warmer, as will your summers.

>It's a "Leftists equate refusal of the man made climate change narrative to refusal that the climate is changing" episode.

That's always the first strawman you get when you out yourself as a bad goy. The climate is in fact changing and the data is clear. But research into if it is caused by humans, and if so how much of an impact do we have, is inconclusive at best, and plain bullshit at the worst. Geological studies show that the earth goes through heating and warming periods, and has done so since we were still swinging from trees.

>even if climate change is false why do you evil hitlers resist enviromental initiatives, you dumb hitlers.

Every single climate initiative ever is just a blatent money grab dressed in green clothes with the word climate in the name so anybody who goes against it gets lynched. Carbon taxes, The paris accord, aircare (at least in BC it was, don't know about else where), all do little to nothing to reduce "climate change", but they do cause a lot of money to end up in the hands of the government

Al Gore just told the most incredibly bold-faced LIE ever!!

In an interview on CNN, Jake Tapper actually makes Al Gore respond to Trump mocking him for flying a jet around the world while saying everyone else needs to undo their carbon footprint.

He literally says, “I live a carbon free lifestyle to the maximum extent possible” LOL!!!

Wow, what a bold-faced liar.

Now the reason he can say this of course, is that he’s running a carbon offset SCAM. So every time he pumps carbon into the air, he supposedly pays for an “offset” which could be as misleading as purchasing the photosynthesis of trees already existing! It’s a TOTAL SCAM. Al Gore invests in it because stupid gullible liberals will toss their money into it and line his pockets with cash. And that lets him live in fantastic mansions and fly wherever he wants while claiming that he lives “carbon-free.”

What a fabulous scam artist.
