I wonder what causes this retardation in the mind. It's apolitical and not necessarily even correlated with being religious. What sort of development goes on in the brain that causes someone to be a blind follower when they are otherwise intelligent and talented at what they do? The left likes to point out all of these studies that say conservatives are more prone to fear of what they don't understand and maybe there is some merit to that, but the left's whole platform, in recent history, has been based on spreading fear. And not only has their base eaten it up, it's taken on a life of it's own and become a disease we can't cure. The right has it's own blind followers but at least the core of the positions on the right have to be well thought out and studied, because the right is almost always on defense. A lot of the positions on the left have become cult like and you're considered a heretic if you don't fall in line. I think it's more than IQ, I think it some people haven't fully developed away from bicamerality.

Blacks had a higher rate of marriage under Jim Crow laws than whites. The problem is that welfare has destroyed the black family by bribing women to be single mothers. Remove welfare and blacks will come around to realising the value of familial stability

What's this got to do with my post? I'm asking a question, sure IQ plays a role but it can't all be IQ and it's more than just being a natural skeptic as well.
