>he still owns a smartphone

you guys know (((they))) use it to track you right? apps listen in through your microphone and algorithms recognize brand names and advertise those brands/products next time you get online. Whatsapp and other messenger apps are for sure monitored. Most apps want complete access to every aspect of your phone even if they don't need it.

give me ONE good reason why you aren't going back to a simple flip phone or better yet getting rid of your phone at all? you'll have to anyway if you ever want to bug out during a real happening

I actually only speak using a portal HAM radio and repeater stations.

I can text, talk, send video and photos. But, it's totally free and on a totally independent network. I can also broadcast encrypted singles and spread spectrum singles (which I do by default), while phones cannot.

The set up is, unfortunately, quite expensive. It's actually cheaper (at least upfront) to by a brand new smart phone. The handheld radio I use in >>128523899 costs

>$370 for the base radio
>+$90 for a Bluetooth chip
>+$110 for a GPS with APRS
>+$40 for a better antenna
>+$90 for a better battery (you need a very strong battery for spread spectrum or satellite communications).

I suppose the benefit is once you get all those things, it's free to communicate. There are repeater stations everywhere that will re-transmit your signal (for free), and gateway stations (also free) grant you internet access; you can use WinLink to read emails, etc. I originally starting use a ham radio because I wanted to call friends in other countries, but cellphones in the early 2000s were incredibility expensive for international calls.

Anyways the downside, besides cost, is that you need a special license to do all these things as well. You need to past three tests for the FCC to grant you the highest license necessary needed to emulate a modern smart phone (simplex, text, CW, GPS, APRS, and internet connectivity). Honestly, it's really only worth it if you're interesting in learning about radios OR really care about security (encrypted spread spectrum communication is the most secure communication you're going to get).
>>
>>128523899

>You're joking, right? radio is the most monitored form of communication there is.
Right. But you can broadcast encrypted signals to satellites you literally launch yourself. It doesn't matter if they know you're transmitting so long as they don't know _what_ you're transmitting. In fact, spread spectrum communication is below the noise floor, so it almost appears as if you're broadcasting pure noise. If I really want to hide a message (rarely), I can just use that.

If you actually thing radio is more monitored than the NSA literally collecting 100% of your texts, you're delusional.

>And even if the government didn't care, autists will dox the shit out of you if you don't have a license and shit.
This part is true. If you don't have a call sign, people will get pissed and actually try to find you. Where I live, there's actually a core of retards who try to find pirate radio stations (they're really good at it, too).

maybe, but the point is that they'd have to go out of their way to do it, unlike phones with literal GPS chips that effortless send your location 24/7 no matter what.

in fact if you google businesses (i know I know, jewgle), it will even tell you how busy that place is around the time you google it. how do you think they get that info? it literally says "people usually spend X minutes here." I doubt it was by phoning up the business/restaurants and asking them. even if you don't use google maps, if you have an android phone it will learn your movement patterns and give you traffic data for what it thinks is your daily commute in advance via push notifications without you asking or "enabling" the GPS. I know cause it's happened to me.

>>128526897
>out of their way
The tool I was given by AT&T (circa 2009) was just an API call that when given a phone number, returned a list of cell towers it was last connected to, datetime, and rssi. Each query added ~$.05 to our bill and had no rate or number limits.
But yeah, there are dozens of ways to geolocate smartphones ... the 'enable high accuracy gps' setting is the one that Google abuses the most though. It uses wifi access point proximity as it's primary means to identify customers.
My phone is off 99% of the time - so I agree with you even though Im disagreeing.

Never got this, since call signs are public, can't you just use one? Also if you live in a dense area or use ham unlicensed while you keep moving isn't that pretty hard to actually orangize the autists to triangulate you.

At the end if you're not causing issues on emergency / police / military does the FCC actually do more than a slap on the wrist? Seems like acting stupid 'it said cb on Alibaba!' is pretty common since people are retarded.

If I go great lengths to avoid being tracked all the time I stand out as a person of interest.

By partaking in the mundane day to day while being tracked I just blend in with every other person.

Nigger, internet, along with smartphones and social media are a fucking blessing for us, can't you see???
before those things the MSM dominated all narrative, nobody could prove anything but today you can't pull the bullshit anymore
if it wasn't for social media and the internet the media would sweep most of these terror attacks under the carpet, they would downplay the numbers without anyone to check
literally the internet is what elected donald trump, without the internet wikileaks wouldn't exist, therefore the DNC leaks wouldn't exist, therefore Donald Trump wouldn't get elected, and of course the memes.

>he doesn't know that most of the recent terrorist attacks have been orchestrated by people using p2p messaging apps on burner phones....

PROTIP : If you put stuff on your phone that could incriminate you then you deserve to get caught.
If you treat the phone as a tool like it should be then you'll find that for the most part you've got nothing to worry about.

Simplest:
Use a burner phone with a cheapy sim bought on the blackmarket in batches.

Normie tier: put something like signal on phone to message, turn off all gps and wifi connection seeking
Store all docs on encrypted sd card if not encrypt phone storage.
