i still don't even understand the reason's the CIA put the Shah in power in the first place, Iran and Afghanistan were both very open to becoming fast allies with us. Shias are less than 15 percent off the Muslim population, and most when they migrate to the west integrate quite successfully. Not to mention sunnis who outnumber them hate Shiites as much as they hate Jew's. They're not much of a threat to the west. They are a threat to Israel.
