Modern english culture (not mass culture), for instance, is a product of mixes and overlaps of history, ethnicity, language, etc.

Modern technology, in eradicating distance, is destroying the means by which such cultures develop (by preserving multiplicity within a greater overall unity, causing regional cultural variations within a culturally homogeneous nation--and the interplay between them is what produces cultural development).

These processes are more complex than you are letting on. Without the interplay between varying cultures we would not have developed the sophisticated European culture of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.

Obviously this cannot be done with a culture that is completely alien, distinct and incompatible, but you are pretending the thing that creates living culture doesn't even exist or have to be accounted for.
