Wrong. Firestorms will sweep across the planet in 10 years, incinerating babies as they sleep in their cribs. Hurricanes will bring tidal waves 6,000,000 feet tall which will inundate the entire planet. After all of this the Earth will then freeze over completely.

That's still nothing.

Look, my house will be waterfront property in like 500 years. I literally don't care. Weather DOES WHAT IT WANTS and if humans could control it, guess what, we could hold off hurricanes and nobody would ever fucking die from a tornado.

Fuck off with liberal god complex shit. We are a small cog in a huge machine. We don't run things. Liberals just have this delusion that we do. The best thing you can do is to be good to the people and animals in your immediate orbit. Set a decent example. Take care of the land around you. Pick up garbage, water plants. Shoot litterers. There ya go.
>>
Warming of the planet is good for life. The Eocene epoch is an example of when the earth was 6 degrees celsius warmer. The most new species evolved. Horses evolved and so did early primates. Early primates only could have evolved in a high oxygen climate because the the brain's need for high oxygen levels. The high oxygen levels were created because forest existed from pole to pole. There was also high CO2. As we know CO2 is a plants natural fertilizer. Not only that a plant's pores can close with higher CO2 meaning less evaporation and less need for water. A greenhouse optimum CO2 level is 1500 ppm, we have a long way to go. We are now at 400 ppm. We are still 3 degrees below the average temperature for the last 65 million years because we were entering an ice age. Ice ages are the cause for some of the worst mass extinctions. Frozen earth is bad for life. The earth is naturally cooling. The primordial heat escapes every day. We lose heat faster than we gain it. The earth's rotation is slowing, the moon moves father out. The moon's tidal and gravitation forces lessen which means less heat generated from gravitational forces. Warmth is good. Canada had another record crop yield due to longer growing seasons. I could post more but you get the drift.

>>
>>128065481
This. Increased CO2 will mean that there will be positive reinforcement for the C3 gene, a more efficient CO2 processing for plants. Plants with this gene will overrun biomes with primarily C3, and plants with it will begin to dominate the land whereever there is enough rainfall. The ghettos will become forests.

why do you think libshits are screaming so hard? kek

and I am in Commiefornia, so what? I literally researched all this quite a while ago--what will actually happen here in northern CA, I'll tell you:

In 100 years, a seawall will be built across the Golden Gate. (Yes, haha, a wall. Irony.) The Marin cliffs are huge, they'll be fine. A lot of shipping and so forth will be done along the outer cliffs instead of inside the bay itself, which will be cleaner and more temperate with even more sailing and recreation and no shark scares ever. For vessels wishing to come and go, I'm sure there will be some kind of sluice gate or similar. But the marine industry in general will benefit from far more activity along the coast and outside the Golden Gate seawall.

A lot of the NorCal coast is high bluffs, so even in 500 years things will still be okay in many to most areas. You'll be happy to know that Los Angeles will suffer far more and undergo a lot more change, but then again LA is rich as fuck so they will work out massive seawalls of their own, no doubt. Meanwhile up here, the ocean will probably be more accessible, and there will be some beaches where none existed before.

Within the bay the water level will no doubt go up as well but the developments will be slow and not extreme as the huge coastal bluffs and Golden Gate seawall will prevent most problems.

Fact is, humans have always risen to challenges, especially those in Western countries. I am sure that once our debt is paid off, global financial burdens are equalized so everyone carries their fair share, and our economy is booming more than ever we will do what has to be done to protect the ozone layer. You know about skin cancer rates, right? That's the worst problem by far, and no libshits are talking about THAT because none of them want to give up their A/C, etc.

Global warming is real, and humans are causing it. The positives of stopping global warming are not worth its costs. Global warming does not affect all countries equally. In general, poor countries are affected far more negatively than rich countries, with some rich countries being affected positively (more land available for agriculture, new trade routes in the Arctic, etc). Poor countries are the countries least able the afford the cost of not using fossil fuel energy, and already rich countries should not pressure them otherwise.

How do they know its accelerating? Because in the 90s the rate was a third of that rate which is actually pretty alarming because if that trend continues the sea will start rising by 1 centimeter every year by 2037, and 3 centimeters every year by 2057... assuming the acceration itself remains constant which it probably won't

Millions of square miles of arabal land will become available in Canada, Scandinavia Alaska m, Asia, and the horn of South America.

If it gets warm enough we may be able to have pernant settlements on the Antarctic peninsula like in Iceland and Greenland

There will also be more precipitation do to warmer seas so while deserts will grow a bit bigger the life giving rivers and seasonal rains will be larger and flow longer

A warming planet Is overall good for mankind

What we lose in coastline and small coral atolls will be more than made up for in more habitable deserts and former tundra.

Also the forests will be larger due nor c02 we are millennia away from a tie "runaway" greenhouse effect a la Venus

What would really be dangerous for people is an ice age or major cooling tread historically that Creates huge human migrations, famine, desies and death

It's also worth noting that the idea of warming/cooling is relative. We're actually in an unprecedentedly cold period on the geologic time scale. Most of the time, there aren't any ice caps at all. For example during the cretaceous period, antarctica was basically in the same polar region it is today, but it was not just ice sheets. It actually had vast forests and vibrant ecosystems of dinosaurs and such. Even during the long polar nights.

"climate change"

What you're hypothesizing is not climate change. It's global warming. You call it that because cunts needed to rename it so they could argue the reality of something that exists while claiming something that doesn't (yet) exist--catastrophic anthropogenic global warming.

But, assuming CAGW is on the way, then, yes, the filthy rich cunts living on the ocean will see their expensive property submerged and cheaper property become more expensive.

Which is why when faggots like Bernie and Gore buy property at sea level they're showing that they know real climate change is gradual and happens over long periods of time, and it won't affect (without some catastrophic event like Krakatoa) them, their slobbering cock spawn, or anything that matters.

Year after year can pass, and despite them being wrong on every prediction and every model, they'll still find ways to explain how the crisis is "JUST AROUND THE CORNER!". And there's no way to prove them wrong. They'll always just push the date back. Ask them how long there would need to be no significant changes for in order for them to finally drop it and admit global warming is bullshit. And they'll never be able to give you a solid answer and stick to it.

Yes. We are only in the 5th ice age earth has experienced. Together they have lasted for about 1/3 of a billion years. Out of the 4.5 that earth has been around. So about 6% of the life of the earth has been this cold or colder.

If the earth is 20 years old, ice ages have lasted for a little over 1 of them.

The earth in general is cooling. The earth's rotation is slowing and the moon is moving away. The moon's tidal and gravitational forces are lessening meaning less heat generated by gravitational forces. The next ice age may kill off 50% of the species. It's actually our job to keep it this warm.

Most ice melting won't even affect sea levels at all. Most of the world's ice already floats on the ocean, ie, it's volume is already added to sea water levels.
>>
we're heading for another ice age, not a global meltdown. But if we did have a meltdown, two things would happen immediately (if it happened catastrophically quickly, which it wouldn't).

First, the enormous weight of the ice disappearing would shift land masses, causing new land to emerge from underwater. Second, the removal of the displacement caused by the ice when it disappears would cause water levels to DROP.

Rainfall everywhere would soar, causing enormous plant growth, soil shifts and mud slides. In the process the Earth would green itself from pole to pole. Inland seas would reappear, causing explosions of every kind of plant and animal life.

But none of this is real. We're heading for an ice age. It's been slightly delayed or altered by atmospheric testing of atomics and by large scale spraying of reflectives like barium and aluminum, but the ice will return. When it does, it will erase the current civilization as it has done several times before.

In terms of "climate change" (a term invented by Frank Luntz for the Republicans in the late 1990s) it is nothing more than wealth distribution or a modern day Indulgence system. It is a way to create a tax on air and a control system where commodities such as light, heat, oxygen, carbon and nitrogen become bankable directly.

All climate change models and the economic models based on them, as well as all UN projects that have spawned the wind farm industry and solar industry are scams. They set boundary conditions that don't exist in the real world. Deliberately. Volcanoes erase all human impact after their third day of eruption on average. Grass fires by primitives aren't counted towards man made global warming. The most polluting form of carbon, black soot, isn't even studied or counted.

It's a rigged game, it's a con.
>>
>>128080187
Well that was anticlimactic. I don't think I'm arguing against you. You're pretty much admitting we are at below average temperature and there's probably not a goddam thing we can do to keep from returning to a state of equilibrium.

Sub saharan Africa, will see a temperature change very small.Basically every climate alarmist admits to this. Basically nothing. The only thing that will affect people around the tropics will be precipitation changes and sea level changes.

I already don't trust global temperature models by these fags. I trust precipitation models even less.

Sea levels might be easier to predict though. The sea level have been rising for the past 10,000+ years. Doesn't take much of a genius to predict they will continue to increase over the next 100 years.

Nobody wants to pay for a giant puddle, even though it's not a bad idea. The Salton Sea is one and that was just redirecting a river onto flatland for a couple years, more or less. The only real problem is that as it's dried, pollutants have concentrated so now it's a salty sludgy mess that when dried completely will make a dust storm of toxic waste and blow it over California.

idk why you wouldn't, by all data sets save one (and even that still mostly falls in one) the models have been spot on. Also long term precipitation trends aren't that difficult to predict if you have temperature trends

>The sea level have been rising for the past 10,000+ years
Yeah if you use a scale with 20m increments in SL change sure it might look that way but using an appropriate scale sea level was steady since about 0AD up until the year 1000 and really took off in ~1880

I worked as a programmer for an env. Science researcher during a summer at uni. They do factor black soot from open fires, and you're right, was the biggest contributor in the model. Nobody likes to talk about it though. Also double right on the volcano thing. The water vapor from them has more direct effect on temps as well. The whole Crux of global warming model is in the impact of water vapor, hard to measure and predict, yet impacts reflection/absorbtion of light.

For Europeans climate change is going to be a fucking disaster.

You think the current migrant crisis is bad? Wait until you've got half a million Africans trying to migrate to Europe because the arid deserts they chose to live in for some reason just got slightly too arid to even live at all.

and it will be all Europe's fault, and they will have to accept every single one of them as penance. Because if it wasn't for colonialism Africa would have been developed enough to solve the problem - their population is comprised entirely of brilliant engineers and scientists after all.

You don't actually believe that hockeystick graph do you?

That together with the 97% graph are among the most widely critisized graphs ever.

The graph you just posted literally took proxy data, and copy/pasted thermometer data onto the end of it. . Do you you honestly think proxy data, where they smoothe out readings to avoid those huge spikes are anything near as reliable year to year as thermometer data is? There can be made no assumptions about acceleration of temperature increases from that graph
