Plus, I can go 3D print an extended magazine for pretty much any gun on the market, and it would be easy, cheap, and covert.
If I really wanted to go on a shooting rampage, I could either print up one of those, or just tape two mags together to make a speedloader.

Legislation outlawing 30 round mags will not prevent that. The only way to even remotely address the 3D printed one would be to require legislation of 3D printers, which then not only harms a growing industry that will have far more benefit than 30 round mags, but is also itself basically impossible to actually legislate.
And that begins the pandora's box of impossible to enforce regulation.
