Can someone point me to some genuine pagan theological ideas? I studied different kinds of paganism a lot for a while but I never found any kind of true theology in any of it. Maintaining your cultural mythologies is fine, but the actual practical religion part of paganism seems dead and gone. The only true theological thinking I've seen in modern paganism is derived from Hermetica or Kabbalah or both, and is often heavily mixed with new age nonsense.

I think it's kind of funny when, for example, OP criticizes European Christians as larping as Jews, when European Christianity so thoroughly stamped out or co-opted European paganism that very little actual pagan religion practice or belief can be safely separated from its Christian appropriation or the often heavily biased writings of Christian historians. Which makes most modern pagans some of the most flagrant larpers of all.

All that said, seems like there may be some hope for paganism among the Baltic states, but unfortunately it seems Norse, Germanic, and Hellenic paganism are dead.

I guess my overall question is how can you actually practice any kind of paganism without relying on the new age, or Christian distortions, or just reading mythology and then making stuff up?
