But it's not the best answer, I would suggest.

There is a better one: God **is** good. And the Crucifixion is a sign, to you and to all. A sign of the mystery of God's goodness.

Try looking at God through this lens. Nothing else makes sense of the world we live in. But you can only see through that lens if you are willing to trust in the goodness of God. Which He will give you many reasons to do, but will not force you to do.

Surely youre not the only one who believes you can be more righteous than God himself, but if God is all knowing then he must have a reason for suffering even if you cant find a logical reason for it yourself.

However I am not convinced that all suffering is caused by God. I could right now, go over to my neighbors house and smash his car and all the windows on his house. Was this an act of God? By myself causing bad things to happen does God get the blame?
