The very idea of just anyone picking up a bible and interpreting anyway you want and even starting a church wuth your teachings opened the gates of liberalism, racism (if you think about if it racism wasnt a think until the start around in the 16th century after the protestant reformation), promotion of atheism and secularism (jacobins in the frebch revolution) communism, nazism, and political correctness.

Like I said, the catholic church stopped being apostolic long before they indirectly caused martin luther to chimp out and start the idea tgat anyone can create any church any doctrine without apostolic succession. The catholic church today is just an extreme liberalized version of itself and has been influenced by the modern western world shaped by martin luthers protestant movement.

Here's the rub in all of this: Luther was a Catholic monk.

Moreover, Catholics built shit societies. Look at the US. Founded by Protestants. We start letting in Catholics, including your ancestors, and the whole place goes to shit. The only decent places left are short on papists.

God has clearly selected Protestant faiths as the true paths to Him. And He is punishing us for letting you people in.

Papism is nothing but pure idolatry, Priests personally forgiving the sins of others, Catholics referring to the Pope as "Holy Father" and bowing to him and kissing his Holy ring

Catholics and many Popes bowing to statues of Mary and praying to her to mediate between them and God. When the bible clearly says Mary was a sinner like everybody else.

Rampant paedophilia among Priests hurting children and many Popes going to great lengths to cover it up, its so sick and fucked up.

Martin Luther happened because the Catholic Church was a mess. The Borgias were disgusting people. They were so bad that Julius II felt the need to bribe the Cardinals to make him Pope. He took out the Borgias and set up bankers, the Medici, to take their place. Florence became the center of Renaissance as a result and Europe was saved from the Catholic Church's iron fist. But it became clear to religious men that the banking attitude of the Medici was not Christ like, so Martin Luther stood up to the Medici's. That was why he did what he did. It was all a mess, one big giant turd sandwich. But every time Catholics rule a nation that nations turns to crap. The only reason the Renaissance happened is because bankers were in charge and not the established Catholic clergy.
Everything that came after Martin Luther and the Medici though improved the conditions of Europe even though they were the ones who disagreed with each other. Their opposing views allowed the world to escape the Catholic views that kept Europe in the dark times, and eventually turned Central and South America into hell holes.

The Chinese room argument holds that a program cannot give a computer a "mind", "understanding" or "consciousness",[a] regardless of how intelligently or human-like the program may make the computer behave. The argument was first presented by philosopher John Searle in his paper, "Minds, Brains, and Programs", published in Behavioral and Brain Sciences in 1980. It has been widely discussed in the years since.[1] The centerpiece of the argument is a thought experiment known as the Chinese room.[2]

The argument is directed against the philosophical positions of functionalism and computationalism,[3] which hold that the mind may be viewed as an information-processing system operating on formal symbols. Specifically, the argument refutes a position Searle calls Strong AI:

Sure thing,
Mary recognized that she needed the Savior. The Bible never says that Mary was anyone but an ordinary human whom God chose to use in an extraordinary way. Yes, Mary was a righteous woman and favored (graced) by God (Luke 1:27-28). At the same time, Mary was a sinful human being who needed Jesus Christ as her Savior, just like everyone else (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 1 John 1:8).

Nowhere in Scripture does Jesus, or anyone else, direct any praise, glory, or adoration towards Mary. Elizabeth, Mary’s relative, praised Mary in Luke 1:42-44, but her praise is based on the blessing of giving birth to the Messiah. It was not based on any inherent glory in Mary.

Mary was present at the cross when Jesus died (John 19:25). Mary was also with the apostles on the day of Pentecost (Acts 1:14). However, Mary is never mentioned again after Acts chapter 1. The apostles did not give Mary a prominent role. Mary’s death is not recorded in the Bible. Nothing is said about Mary ascending to heaven or having an exalted role there. As the earthly mother of Jesus, Mary should be respected, but she is not worthy of our worship or adoration.

The Bible nowhere indicates that Mary can hear our prayers or that she can mediate for us with God. Jesus is our only advocate and mediator in heaven (1 Timothy 2:5). If offered worship, adoration, or prayers, Mary would say the same as the angels: “Worship God!” (see Revelation 19:10; 22:9.) Mary herself sets the example for us, directing her worship, adoration, and praise to God alone: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is His name” (Luke 1:46-49).

Going to completely BTFO of OP with just one quick point -

If Martin Luther was in the wrong why was the Catholic Church making up and practicing doctrine that is NOT in the bible?

"Priests" being celebate is NOT in the bible.
All church doctrine organized through ONE SINGULAR ORGANIZATION is NOT in the bible.
Beating yourself with a whip/flail is NOT in the bible.
Asking for money from a widow to get her dead husband's soul out of purgatory is NOT in the bible.

>"B...but Burger-Anon Peter being "the rock" of the church is in the bible I read it myself! Jesus says to Peter he shall be the rock!"

You are basing an entire divine earthly hierarchy on ONE SMALL STATEMENT. Do you think maybe the position of pope should've found some more solid verse to stand on? Peter being the rock is extremely vague and open to interpretation. Do you think Jesus was being literal there? You don't think Jesus sometimes speaks in allegory?

-King Henry VIII of England. He cared not at all about his people, but about his power and attempted to use the Church to make personal gain at the loss of his own people

The rejection and persecution of the Catholic Faith in England began as a political move, but owing to the particularly vicious English propaganda against the Church the English people took it personally onto themselves and eventually embedded the anti-Catholicism of Henry VIII and his advisors into their culture. Many of the “English Catholics” of later centuries were immigrants from Ireland or other countries with select groups of converts, as the general majority were wiped out Muslim style except it was become a Protestant, become a slave, flee or die. If this sounds like something that Muslims would do, the answer is correct, for as we have documented here following in the words of great saints such as St. John of Damascus and Bl. Peter the Venerable of Montbossier, both who lived centuries before the Protestant Revolution, Islam is merely the final culmination of all Christian heresy if left unchecked.

>1 Timothy 2:5
> Mary recognized that she needed the Savior.
Vague.

>Nowhere in Scripture does Jesus, or anyone else, direct any praise, glory, or adoration towards Mary.

God is quite clear throughout scripture that he can not dwell in that which is imperfect. This is why not even Moses could see his face. The high priest had to live a life of perfect purity just to enter the Holy of Holy's, and even then he could not touch or receive God's essence directly.

How then can you believe that God Almighty could dwell within the womb of, and be formed by the flesh of a sinner?

see

>Elizabeth, Mary’s relative, praised Mary

Also see below.

>The Bible nowhere indicates that Mary can hear our prayers or that she can mediate for us with God.

Intercession of the saints is a doctrine held by the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches.

All of the early Christians believed in the intercession of saints. The Old Testament makes quite clear that the priesthood and spoken tradition is necessary to understand the scripture.

What then makes you think a man living in the 16th century would understand the Christian faith better than Christians living in the first century?

I am an agnostic myself but OP can go fuck himself.

Every christian denomination is good for specific region. Eastern orthodox suits russians and other eastern slavs because it has a mystic flavour to it. Catholicism suits southern europeans because it's grandiose and this "I sin today, regret tomorrow, sin again next week, ask forgivness again" attitude suits with their hot temperament. Protestantism suits us northern europeans because with its wooden churches and all, it's humble, laid back, supports protestant work ethics and encourages each person to be moral themselves instead of trusting a higher authority to watch for their soul.

I definitely find Martin Luther as a good man, and protestantism is what I would align with, but I wouldn't force protestantism on southern europeans and eastern slavs.

Also, fuck paganism, Varg meme needs to die. Christianity is a white man's religion and intervened with many local pagan traditions such as yule and halloween, even as much as allowing the celebration of midsummer's eve.

Protestantism, no matter how one tried to explain it, is simply a collection of various heresies whose sole unifying point is the rejection of the Catholic Faith. 3. Zwingli and His Cohorts on Luther

Zwingli, not to be outdone, returned the compliment:

"The devil has made himself master of Luther, to such a degree, as to make one believe he wishes to gain entire possession of him." (113;v.1:463)

"To see him in the midst of his followers, you would believe him to be possessed by a phalanx of devils." (113;v.1:464)

"We do you no injustice when we reproach and condemn you as a worse betrayer and denier of Christ than the ancient heretic Marcion (16)." (50:288)

Oecolampadius was also not without a retort:

"He is puffed up with pride and arrogance, and seduced by Satan." (113;v.1:463)

Zwingli's Church of Zurich wrote of Luther:

"He will not and can not associate himself with those who confess Christ . . . He wrote all his works by the impulse and the dictation of the devil." (113;v.1:464)

At least the insults exhibit some vehemence, perhaps revealing the felt importance of their object. Today, on the other hand, many Protestants are utterly indifferent towards Luther, as if their faith was a product solely of their own invention and ingenuity; oftentimes, such self-professed generic "Christians" eschew even the title of "Protestant."

You literally couldn't be more fucking wrong. You do realise your 'declaration of independence' was written by a catholic and that unlike any other protestant country you swear allegiance to God and accept God is above the constitution?

Britain, a protestant country that shattered the power of the catholic church and bled for it, acknowledges the monarch as the only power above the constitution. Protestant countries are primarily monarchies and the monarch is more important in them.

2. Zwingli

Zwingli, too, had marked militaristic tendencies:

"Zwingli had gone the length of declaring that the massacre of the bishops was necessary for the establishment of the pure Gospel . . . He wrote on May 4, 1528,

"'The bishops will not desist from their fraud . . . until a second Elijah appears to rain swords upon them . . . It is wiser to pluck out a blind eye than to let the whole body suffer corruption.'" (111;v.5:180/45)

Zwingli, the inveterate adulterer (who is he to talk about "corruption"?), was killed, along with 24 Zwinglian preachers, at the battle of Kappel, a few miles south of Zurich, on October 11, 1531, at which news Luther reacted with glee. This event, no doubt, helped to make Zwingli's successor, Bullinger, the most mild and moderate of all the founders of Protestantism.

Protestantism in its true form

3. Luther and Melanchthon Condone Slavery

Luther, hardened by the bitter pill of the Peasants' Revolt and his hand in it, sanctioned slavery, quoting the Old Testament:

"Sheep, cattle, men-servants were all possessions to be sold as it pleased their masters. It were a good thing were it still so. For else no man may compel nor tame the servile folk." (122:449/46)

Luther's sidekick Melanchthon followed him in upholding serfdom (122:457/47). Having seen the dreadful and tragic results of their own anarchical teachings, they became much more ruthless than that which they claimed to be "reforming." How strange and curious is religious corruption!

1. Luther

"There are others who teach in opposition to some recognised article of faith which is manifestly grounded on Scripture and is believed by good Christians all over the world, such as are taught to children in the Creed . . . Heretics of this sort must not be tolerated, but punished as open blasphemers . . . If anyone wishes to preach or to teach, let him make known the call or the command which impels him to do so, or else let him keep silence. If he will not keep quiet, then let the civil authorities command the scoundrel to his rightful master - namely, Master Hans [i.e., the hangman]." (111;v.10:222/48)

"That seditious articles of doctrine should be punished by the sword needed no further proof. For the rest, the Anabaptists hold tenets relating to infant baptism, original sin, and inspiration, which have no connection with the Word of God, and are indeed opposed to it . . . Secular authorities are also bound to restrain and punish avowedly false doctrine . . . For think what disaster would ensue if children were not baptized? . . . Besides this the Anabaptists separate themselves from the churches . . . and they set up a ministry and congregation of their own, which is also contrary to the command of God. From all this it becomes clear that the secular authorities are bound . . . to inflict corporal punishment on the offenders . . . Also when it is a case of only upholding some spiritual tenet, such as infant baptism, original sin, and unnecessary separation, then . . . we conclude that . . . the stubborn sectaries must be put to death." Bullinger saw the contradiction in Luther's appeal to tradition for punishment of heretics, and thought it was "truly laughable" that he should suddenly appeal to the fact,

"of the Church having so long held this . . . If Luther's argument, based on longstanding usage, be admitted . . . then the whole of Luther's own doctrine tumbles over, for his teaching is not that which the Roman Church has held for so long." (51;v.6:259/50)

Logical consistency was never one of Luther's strong points.

Grisar states:

"That . . . every follower of his Evangel, were bound to regard all opinions which diverged from his own as godless heresies . . . he had never doubted from the moment he had discovered his new Evangel." (51;v.6:238)

2. Melanchthon

"Melanchthon accepted the chairmanship of the secular inquisition that suppressed the Anabaptists in Germany with imprisonment or death. 'Why should we pity such men more than God does?' he asked, for he was convinced that God had destined all Anabaptists to hell." (122:423)

"A regular inquisition was set up in Saxony, with Melanchthon on the bench, and under it many persons were punished, some with death, some with life imprisonment, and some with exile." (115:177)

"Even though the Anabaptists do not advocate anything seditious or openly blasphemous" it was, in his opinion, "the duty of the authorities to put them to death." (51;v.6:250/51)

At the end of 1530, Melanchthon drafted a memorandum in which he defended a regular system of coercion by the sword (i.e., death for Anabaptists). Luther signed it with the words, "It pleases me," and added:

Protestant theologian Hunzinger concludes that:

"Melanchthon was wont to lose no time in having recourse to fire and sword. This forms a dark blot on his life. Many a man fell victim to his memorandum." (51;v.6:270/52)

In 1530 Melanchthon recommended death for rejection of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, but changed his mind on this very doctrine later in his life! (122:424)

"Young Bible students he once mentored were now advocating more radical reform . . . refusing to have their babies baptized, citing his own earlier ideas . . . In January, 1525, Zwingli agreed that they deserved capital punishment . . . for tearing the fabric of a seamless Christian society." (53)

Zwingli's Zurich mercilessly persecuted the Anabaptists:

"The persecution of the Anabaptists began in Zurich . . . The penalties enjoined by the Town Council of Zurich were 'drowning, burning, or beheading,' according as it seemed advisable . . . 'It is our will,' the Council proclaimed, 'that wherever they be found, whether singly or in companies, they shall be drowned to death, and that none of them shall be spared.'" (111;v.5:l53-7)

59These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

Many Disciples Turn Away

(Matthew 8:18-22; Luke 9:57-62; Luke 14:25-33)

60Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

The litmus test for the reality of a Christian denomination is whether is melds well with arbitrary "American" values? The founding fathers were the predecessors of modern liberals since they went against tradition and hierarchy.

"His conviction . . . harked back to the darkest practices of the Inquisition . . . Every heretic was to be put to death, and cities predominantly heretical were to be smitten with the sword and utterly destroyed:

"'To the carnal man this may appear a . . . severe judgment . . . Yet we find no exception, but all are appointed to the cruel death. But in such cases God wills that all . . . desist from reasoning when commandment is given to execute his judgments.'" (122:614/54)

VI. DEATH AND TORTURE FOR CATHOLICS AND PROTESTANT DISSIDENTS

From all this it becomes clear that the secular authorities are bound . . . to inflict corporal punishment on the offenders . . . Also when it is a case of only upholding some spiritual tenet, such as infant baptism, original sin, and unnecessary separation, then . . . we conclude that . . . the stubborn sectaries must be put to death." "So then, if the mixed cup and the manufactured bread receive the Word of God and become the Eucharist, that is to say, the Blood and Body of Christ, which fortify and build up the substance of our flesh, how can these people claim that the flesh is incapable of receiving God's gift of eternal life, when it is nourished by Christ's Blood and Body and is His member? As the blessed apostle says in his letter to the Ephesians, 'For we are members of His Body, of His flesh and of His bones' (Eph. 5:30). He is not talking about some kind of 'spiritual' and 'invisible' man, 'for a spirit does not have flesh an bones' (Lk. 24:39). No, he is talking of the organism possessed by a real human being, composed of flesh and nerves and bones. It is this which is nourished by the cup which is His Blood, and is fortified by the bread which is His Body. The stem of the vine takes root in the earth and eventually bears fruit, and 'the grain of wheat falls into the earth' (Jn. 12:24), dissolves, rises again, multiplied by the all-containing Spirit of God, and finally after skilled processing, is put to human use. These two then receive the Word of God and become the Eucharist, which is the Body and Blood of Christ."

-"Five Books on the Unmasking and Refutation of the Falsely

Named Gnosis". Book 5:2, 2-3, circa 180 A.D. "For just as the bread which comes from the earth, having received the invocation of God, is no longer ordinary bread, but the Eucharist, consisting of two realities, earthly and heavenly, so our bodies, having received the Eucharist, are no longer corruptible, because they have the hope of the resurrection."

-"Five Books on the Unmasking and Refutation of the Falsely named Gnosis". Book 4:18 4-5, circa 180 A.D.

Luther was a hateful man. He propbably just got into church because of the power that came with it in those days, and then was pissed off because he couldn't get ahead fast enough. Today we would call him a psychopath, but in those days you couldn't say that about a man of the church.

Anyway, through his actions and the following wars, he has millions of people on his conscience. But to him, that wouldn't matter at all because of his "sola fide" invention. It means you're redeemed no matter if you lived like Ghengis Khan of Stalin.

May that asshole burn in hell.
