Red for life. A good syrah or cab franc is the best. Never spend more than $30 a bottle, buy from winery directly.

When I did drink I enjoyed red more in a general sense but I think both have their time and place. If I became even more of a wreck and started drinking heavily, I'd destroy myself with whisky but red wine if only wine was offered.
