Wonder Woman is supposed to be an American hero. Compare the color scheme here to the one in the movie. They are trying to remove the America from our American superheroes.

Also remember that Joss Whedon is working on DC movies too so don't expect any real difference between Marvel and DC direction.

DC has consistantly failed to make good movies, besides batman. Its difficult to have compelling WW content as it is.
