Its logical that the stratfor leak was known to be exfiltrated prior to public release. As a result, they could have figured out Kim had played a proxy role and exfiltration of that data was required to get info into the details of the leak. A month later whatever the backend processes are were completed and the leak was dropped.

Either way, Kim is definately hood rich for lack of better words, but he's not stupid. If he releases evidence publicly, he can face legit charges, and end up in an embassy. He'd rather be around his wife and kids i'm guessing. So he wants to take the right path to completion. For all we know, he's friends enough with Rich that he respected the family, and instead is going as a material witness to the investigation. Either way, they'll have to interview him as he's potentially admitted to being involved in the exfiltration. Again, russian narrative is BTFO to a theater near you.

I suspect the POTUS is making the rounds letting people know what's about to go down.
