Pride's killing you. So many mental illnesses have emerged since the rise of protestantism, and it comes from people thinking they can just forgive themselves. They may think they talk directly to God and feel good for a bit, but then they go right back into sin over and over and the guilt builds and builds. Better to just talk to your priest about it and leave it there.
