And people should know that only a handful of people actually control the narrative at these news organizations. For CNN it is typically the bureau chiefs and the directors of newsgathering (day of and futures).

Also, CNN owns a bunch of satellite space, fiber lines and Newsource. Newsource distributes news content to small affiliate stations domestically and internationally. This is one of the reasons why you see the same stories over and over and over with no new thought or investigation material added. The affiliates send in their stories, the CNN people send back out and distribute the ones they like and bury the rest.
