SJWism originated in American universities, especially major ones like Harvard. Where is Harvard located? MA. All Ivy League colleges are in fact located in the North East. Didn't used to be. It was always fairly liberal, but it was never full on SJW. There was always a sizable minority of conservatives like Frank Miller for balance. Even then, politics was usually secondary to writing a good story.

It's a sign of the times. Liberals all became SJW's and did what they did to movies, TV, news, etc.: they took over and purposely discriminate against conservatives. It's outrageous. No other group would put up with this discrimination. Remind again of what nightmare McCarthyism is when liberals have been subjecting conservatives to exactly that for 50 years.

politics is a gimmick hack artists tack on to their work in order to try and sell it

this is especially the case in "lesser" artforms like comics, tv shows, pop music, comic book movies and video games where appearing to be socially conscious helps alleviate the artist and the consumer's guilt for enjoying such pedestrian entertainment

basically it's a way of thinking you're making a difference or bettering yourself while doing nothing of the sort
