Idk about Romania but that's absolutely not the case here. For the last 10 years salaries stayed mostly the same while living costs doubled at least.

It's been getting better standards wise in recent years. Yeah our countries are very fucked up by communism, however in most cases the communists just renamed themselves to socialists and got into the current governments being corrupt as fuck and selling out our countries to the EU and foreign companies. Im gonna give you an example of this shitty village in one of these countries. It used to be prosperous as the population was growing tomatoes and that was pretty much the village's thing until the country joined the EU. Big european markets flooded the country swarming the market with cheap pakistani tomatoes which put the villagers out of work, 3 years later the documentary I watched showed the same village and it was completely empty, most of the people had to leave and work as toilet cleaners or some shit in Western Europe and the pretty cosy community from years ago has been replaced with mainly old people and a shitload of gypsies who swarmed on the village to claim abandoned houses and rob the old people who were left there. This example is from a Bulgaria but this is generally what goes on in Eastern Europe. Communism made it poor, the aftermath of communism kept it poor and the EU is abusing it for the market and cheap labour while its native populations are being replaced with shitskins as well.

When I was in Poland the standard of living is similar to in the US but with less luxury stuff like cars and some stuff was just lower quality. It is also interesting since Warsaw was almost completely destroyed in WWII it is a very new city. It is very well planned out, much better than DC.
