I've been to China numerous times since 2010 and that is what a common public restroom looks like in the mainland. Some are "western" like in airports and train stations but the majority outside of places like that are the glory hole in the floor which may or may not have water to flush anything down with.

A third tier Chinese city will have restrooms with individual stalls and closing doors, like we see in the West.
