blog time lads.

Moving out of my room in a house in mornington crescent (housemates are shit, agency is dodgy as, right on main road with single pane glass, shower barely works).

I viewed a room at old street today. It's in a "tower block" right outside old street station, and its on the 8th floor. I'd also be sharing with only 2 other people, both female professionals (one a dentist and the other in finance, 28 and 29 years old)

I didn't think anything of it at first but my dad questioned about living in one. It seemed fine for me, just that the lifts were a bit slow. The room was a good size with plenty of storage, and though the flat was small it seemed cozy and I liked the kitchen. Its literally just off the main street; there's clubs on the front of the building and a sainsburys local there too.

Do you have any opinions on tower block living? Old Street is a decent area and I could walk to work in the mornings.

I've only lived in a flat with students and from my experience it entirely depends on your flatmates.
My advice to you would be to see if you can get to meet the 2 women you'd be sharing with (ask about other neighbors, any problems they have with the flat etc) and to check the payment contract- you might be contracted to stay for a certain amount of time so you basically can't leave.
