Raves and punk shows today at these places are paedo central at this point. There's raves at clubs in CA that are all ages and you'll find an adolescent getting diddled by a 30-year old man.

There's an event in San Francisco called "FuckFest" and it's all ages. Now, tell me that's not seedy as fuck. In fact, DIY is part of that event.

I'm not joking. You'll see a tiny 14 year-old girl at a rave being hosted at a nightclub wearing almost nothing but underpants and a small top, aside from rave candy accessories, and some 30-something guy buys them alcohol from the bar and either sneaks drugs in it, sells them drugs, or tempts them with drugs, whichever method, and they end up looking strung-out as fuck. Also, since the places are usually dark, aside from the laser lights and glow sticks, all of this seedy shit on these girls is either ignored or goes unnoticed. And yes, you'll find them making out and being taken advantage of.

It's sickening. It's also the reason why real raves were shut down because some underaged girl either dies, is going through cardiac arrest from molly, or their parents show up and sue everyone.

1. if it looks flammable, it probably is flammable. things like insulation, wood, paint, neon signs, or unknown liquids can be a hazard
2. exposed electrical wiring of any kind poses not only risk of shock but also starting a fire. if it looks unsafe, treat it as unsafe. you can not get in trouble for reporting possible safety risks
3. when entering any building, look for exits and emergency exit signs to ensure the highest possibility of safety, be sure to always check and test your smoke detectors for proper functionality
4.in the case of a fire stay low to avoid inhaling smoke, if possible cover your mouth and nostrils with a wet cloth, look for emergency exit signs that will be marked and head for them in a calm orderly fashion if possible
5. if you think something is a violation or safety risk report it. you CAN NOT get in trouble for doing so. and always remember only you can prevent fires and ensure not only yours but others safety

>just posting this as a general notice. we were talking a few days ago about the fact that there was a noise complaint made during the first and second show, and the police actually stopped by at our last show. while there is a general noise ordinance law in effect in Charleston 24 hrs a day, most people are only going to complain or make calls after like 8 or 9.. so to hopefully avoid anything like this happening in the future, we really really really need to have shows begin between 6-6:30 no later, and ideally with the last band ending by 10 at the latest. we were also considering having the bands play in order of loudness...with the heaviest or loudest band first, and closing out w the quieter one last. this isn't really set in stone and we really want to try and keep a schedule so that the touring bands always play last so we're still kind of playing this by ear (no pun intended) but the time schedule thing is something we really have to keep on track with. thanks for the support guys

I have seen the Baltimore Free Farm, a warehouse space, posted but there is a garden/commune across the street in which a number of the people that run it live. In addition they still might be raising animals in the back which brings up another issue to be reported. I'm going to have to double check but there might be another house they are trying to buy or at least occupy in the meantime in the area. Food Not Bombs in Baltimore is run out of a kitchen at the Free Farm and this brings up a number of other possible violations to pursue anywhere there is a FoB. Many times FoB uses dumpster food to feed to the homeless.
