Hey builders, I am the same anon that posted that Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental thread. I am starting anothrr build. This time a 1:96 scale Atlas V rocket.
Here is what one of the solid rocket boosters looks like.
Another misc. part.
And another...
You anons can download the model free from here.

Time to start building. First off, the payload fairing (PLF).
Working on the payload fairing again.

Note the tabs aren't glued in yet, that is why they are askew.
your cuts are extremely precise and accurate, I like this thread so far! I'm interested in starting up something like this, but how do I print on card stock and what tools are recommend or brands in terms of cutting, measuring and the like?
Here is the upper section of the payload fairing (right), and the lower section (right). The PLF is almost done now.
I also made a circular piece to fit inside the PLF, then added it to light cardboard to help the PLF keep its shape.
I finished the upper and lower areas of the payload fairing. Now it is time to build the two middle sections.
I finished the payload fairing on my 1:96 Atlas V rocket. The finished section is over 12 inches in length. Time to build the rest of the rocket.

Here is what I have of the bottom area. One of two engines are done.
These are great! Thanks for posting. There are some papercraft groups on Facebook where people post their builds and also models, you might want to join if you haven't already. The two I like most are Papercraft and Paper Card Modeling. Good luck with your build!

Thank you! I'm aware of that group...I post in it often.
Here is the finished rocket body. I still need to add the liquid oxygen tubes and other details. Also the five solid rocket boosters.

How long did the 747 take (like in approximate hours)?
>>543251
About 6 hours.

Impressive (to me anyways)
I'd spend like 10 minutes just cutting out each sheet.
Ocd and large papercraft really don't go well together.

>OCD
no such this as ...
what real psychiatrists call OCD , has no resemblance to what you consider OCD to be..

I'm not op, but what I generally use are tacky glue an x acto knife and its complete shit for your printer to print on cardstock but I do it anyways
