I'm a researcher at my university doing work towards my MSc. My field of study is photography and computer vision (pattern/feature recognition, image processing, etc).
I need a wide angle macro lens, at least f/4 (2.8 would be nice) for an application I'm working on. It needs to be as sharp as possible. If I had no budget, what would you suggest?

this... pretty wide, can do 1:1

That's actually pretty good! It has tilt correction, too, judging by video reviews it works well. I take a lot of photos of materials from a tripod pointing downwards; tilt correction means I can have it more relaxed at an angle versus direct BEV.
How much magnification do you need? You could use basically any lens with some extension tubes for more magnification.
>wide angle macro
>computer vision
what is your masters on specifically?
Fuji 16mm f1.4
