your photos are kinda meh bro
and i actually use m43 as my travel system
>>3139549
lolwhat the actual fuck is this
Looks like film cameras
You know all of these could have been taken with a phone, right?
agree with >>3139553
these photos aren't really doing the system justice
I just take photos casually and an m43 seemed like a good option
I've really liked it so far
haven't had a chance to edit this latest batch yet

how does micro four thirds make sense in this era of Fuji?
i wanted to buy this camera but then i found out that the pancake lenses have electronic focus ring. fuck that.
now i get it why everyone moves to film photography
>>3139534
i like it!
>>3139547
whatababe
Why do these look worse quality than your average cell phone?
>>3139539
>doing long time exposure in aperture priority, handeld
the absolute madman
>>3139542
nice!
i worked there
>>3139782
4/3 is a fuckton more advanced and smaller, and arguably has better ergo.
>>3139868
>more advanced
please explain
>>3139558
wait, you took a bokehlicious photo with micro 4/3?
IMPOSSIBLE!
>>3139894
That's not sharp, and not even bokehlicious
>>3139886
4/3 has much better autofocus, much better video, 5 axis ibis (and Panasonic can do dual image stabilization with certain lenses), pixel shift, etc etc
>>3139915
idk, those stuffs don't really matter that much to me. i think i'm just gonna save up more for a Fuji.
>>3139915
Autofocus on the X-T2 is pretty good with the newer lenses though. And iq is somewhat better.
>>3139936
One camera with a few lenses versus an entire ecosystem that is uniformly excellent.
Yes, image quality is pretty good, but is it worth the massive premium?
Full disclosure: I am an avid fujifilm shooter and love a lot of things about the ecosystem, but I also know not to pretend that it doesn't have some glaring deficiencies compared to other brands or formats.
Recent travel w an olympus em5 mark ii
>couldn't be happier
No need for a bean bag inside the car
majority of images in this thread have pretty crappy iq, i understand the value of the system for video but for stills oly and panasonic leave me cold
Taken w the oly 40-150mm pro zoom constant 2.8f
>>3140048
Im not a photographer tho but I use the system for traveling, hiking and flowers. Gardening is my passion and I always wanted to capture this kind of stuff. Sure ive spend a lot of money on lenses but at the time it made sense to me. I squeeze all I can from the gear... What do you mean by low iq in the pictures you see?
>>3139941
I met a pro photographer in my travels thru the amazon, she had all the latest gear, fuckton of lenses and a fuji xt2 body. Her camera couldn't keep up w the environment and her bag was immense. My half broken em5 mark ii worked flawlessly and all of my 8 lenses fit comfortably in a jansport. I was Miring her gear all the way tho fuji looks neato

Road street
OP no one actually thinks m43 is that bad. However, your shitty Photographs only perpetuate the meme that it is only used by shitty retards.
Their point still stands
>>3140067
i believe you met chelsea northrup
>>3140048
you're just a gearfag
Problem I have with M43 is adaptable lenses.
Shit's steered me all the way to film and I've had to actually give up drinking for this shit.
Fuck M43. I hate you.

buy lens turbo 2.
I searched "om-d e-m10" and was surprised by how sharp the results are. I'm sold. Black em10, silver 17mm lens.
>>3140519
Forgot to say, i searched on Flickr
>>3140519
>17mm 2.8
>the worse lens olympus made after the kit zooms.
retard.
go with 20 1.7
>>3140552
i don't care, it's my preferred focal length (equiv. 35mm) and it's small. idk about 20mm, it's too zoomed in. i don't want bokeh, it's a meme now.
>>3140553
at least buy the 17/1.8, it's only marginally bigger.
17/2.8 is just frustrating
>>3140652
I don't even know the right focal length for me. Okay so if i choose 20mm (which is 40mm equiv.), at what range (in meters) should i stand from a 5'7 object if i want to get the whole body in the frame? All i know is that i might shoot close ups of lines and even 35mm (full frame equiv) will still make the lines look curved. It's a complicated thing to explain.
