Nah. Especially if you're talking a 5D Classic, it's shit compared to a 70d. It's got the full frame sensor, sure, but:

1. Image quality on the 70d is nearly the same as the 5D, plus it's got three stops more for ISO options
2. 7fps vs 3fps. The 70D shoots as fast as your finger can hit the shutter button. The 5D, there's a bit of a pause. Not a big one, but you can feel it when you're firing off a burst.
3. 70D has wifi. 70D has the flippy screen. 70D has a built in flash, which sometimes you really do need. 70D has a much, much nicer LCD.
4. 70D has an autofocus system that absolutely blows the 5D's out of the water. The 5D is shittier than a Rebel XTi when it comes to autofocus. The 70D has pretty good autofocus.
5. Live view! It really comes in handy pretty often! Especially when you combine it with the flippy screen and the 70D's God-tier on-sensor phase-detect AF
6. Hundreds of little interface improvements that have been added over the years. These range from big things (like letting you keep a different AF point selected depending on which orientation your camera's in) to little things that you'd never even think of until you find yourself without it and they piss you the hell off (the 5D, when it goes to sleep, forgets where you are in reviewing your photos. If you're looking through the shots after a shoot and get distracted by something, you have to find where you were again. It's maddening)

Source: Have owned both the 5D Classic and 70D (currently own a 5D Mark III; still keep the 70D as a backup).
