Much of the work is obviously quite static so I would strongly echo those who advised lower ISO (grain is one thing color noise is an annoying other) and regular use of the tripod. Some of the imagery has wonderful form and texture, but IMHO many lack a point. That is to say, it is hard at times to see why you took the photo or even what it is.

There are art theorists and ad execs who will argue for making an image difficult -- or even impossible -- to understand. But most people find such imagery antagonistic or boring.

These are all more or less technically well done, but don't "speak". They are fair compositions that have been properly exposed, but the content is lacking.


The rest are underexposed and/or have nothing going on. Try actively looking for a concept or an idea that you want to capture.
