ITT: Cameras and systems that shouldn't have been made in the first place.
What's even more funny is that meme43 users defend their systems but this board doesn't even get a single photo taken by a meme43 camera.

What's wrong with M43? Serious question as I recently bought a G80 and am thinking about picking up more lenses for it.
>>3133508
Just don't you should have bought Fuji instead.
>>3133508
nothing per se, as with all systems its a question of balancing tradeoffs
this board just has a bunch of autistic memetards and my-brand-is-better -shitposters that take out their life angst on it -s
>>3133534
Come on Anon, don't try to trick the poor fellow into buying another shitty camera.
At least recommend something good like a Canon or Nikon.
>>3133538
>Canon
>good
Is the year 2004 again?
>Nikon
The last good Nikon camera is the D500. DLSRs are also obsolete. You look like a complete stalker taking photos with a big ass camera.
>>3133534
I did consider the XT20 but decided against. Can't quite remember why though.
>>3133537
I kind of figured if I wasn't gonna shell out enough to go full frame (as I'm just starting out) it wouldn't matter that much, so I just picked something that had fairly good reviews and what seemed like a pretty big selection of lenses to choose from.
>>3133543
The XT20 has a bigger sensor, better for video, better for photo, better colors and not to mention better lens selection at a cheaper price.
M4/3 will always be a meme.
>>3133546
>ever buying a camera with the terrible x-trans sensor
Shill, please go.
>>3133553
>terrible x-trans sensor
You don't know what you are talking about. You have never even shot a Fuji before.
>>3133546
The latest oly sensor has somehow managed to match Fuji for DR.
Haven't checked ISO performance, bit probably not far off.
>>3133560
>Haven't checked ISO performance, bit probably not far off.
Hard to tell since Fuji messes with their raws so much but it is probably close.
The thing about m43 is that the smaller sensors are easier and cheaper to produce so they get updates more often.
>>3133471
The problem isn't the format, it's Olympus.
Panasonic made some neat cameras in that format, like the GM1, GM5, and the LX100.
>>3133546
>bigger sensor,
because apsc is so much bigger, right
>better for video
lol, everyone knows Panasonic is best for video right now, with Sony not far behind
>better lens selection at a cheaper price
m43 arguably has the best native lens selection around
>>3133543
>I did consider the XT20 but decided against. Can't quite remember why though.
it's about twice as expensive

Today I saw a guy do street photography with pic related (I kid you not).
He was taking close-ups of pretty girls waiting on their bicycles at the traffic light.
He looked boss as fuck.
Taking sneak shots with a compact camera is what makes you look like a stalker.

The fairground shot is great, and beyond the capabilities of a p&s.
The rest seem acceptable technically, if a little uninspiring, and nothing is btfo, well almost nothing.
Overall iq seems a bit better than my rx100, so there's that as well.

Don't buy m43, small sensor leads to worse image quality, lenses can't resolve enough detail and it's all aimed at the dadtographer.
Don't buy canon, shit sensors a decade behind the competition, modelled on a fischer price toy, gimped through sw.
Don't buy nikon, overpriced lenses, oil spots, massive flange distance, purposefully gimped cheaper cameras.
Don't buy pentax, no decent lenses compared to competition, lenses massively overpriced, took them a 6 year delay to release a ff body, slowly dying out.
Don't buy fuji, xtrans leads to loads of issues, false colour, wormy details, no proper adobe compatibility. Zero 3rd party support, gimped mount that will never do larger than crop, overpriced soft lenses.
Don't buy sony. They are the ultimate meme, but have no issues with performance. Like turning up to a track day in a 911 gt3, yes you're gonna get the fastest lap, but no one will say a nice word about your car because it is soulless and boring and you only bought it because it was the best in nearly every objective measure in it's price range.
Don't buy leica, fucked up color rendition, overpriced, no/bad autofocus, funds the jews.
I hope this helped clear everything up.
