Why do I take my best pictures when I'm not trying or even out actively shooting. I always take my best photos when I'm out and about doing something else and just whip out my camera when i see something. Anyone else have this issue?

Nah. I have to be deep into my own mind if i want to shoot something decent. Its just personal preference, really

""""""""best"""""""""
the ones you like better. yes, this is sort of frequent. show them to a third party aka. post them here faggot.

I know for myself that if i go out looking for a good shot i have to be prepared to wait a long time for it. A lot of people don't have the patience for it and end up shooting out of desperation. You get crappy photos as a result.
The good 'whipped out' photos you make are just ones that came to you instead of the other way round
Thats why i always try to have a camera on me
>something interesting happens
>you photograph it
or
>your out photographing and feel the pressure to take photos as to not waste your trip
>you take a photo out of necessity
what could be the reason

This. Really good opportunities are rare, it's pretty much pure luck to have your best gear with you when the shot materialises. That's why so many people on here buy GR's and film compacts, so they always have something better than their phone.
