Do any of you own a secondary, compact camera and carry it with you everywhere and use that instead of your smartphone camera? Is there any point in doing it when you don't or can't carry your main camera or are you just being autistic at that point?

Smartphone cameras are really good now, so no I don't do that. Unless it's one of my little film cameras.

I have a Canon Powershot I carry because I don't have a smart phone. The flip phone I have does have a camera in it, and it isn't even that bad, so I've started carrying the point and shoot less.
I use a G1Xii. Phones are a communications device and pretty nifty for taking notes and checking the date and time. Wouldn't use them for much else though
I carry a nikon l35af with tri-x around sometimes

I can carry my primary MILC, it's just impractical to carry some of its lenses with some of the bags I use.
So no, I don't own a secondary compact.
Also, if you do that, the same reason that presumably made you too lazy to bring any sort of bag surely will make this your primary camera.

my em10 with the panasonic 20mm pancake is small enough to keep in the bag i use for work so i can lug that around no problem

Yes, because I use it as a notebook, for taking snapshits with friends and if Spiderman does happen to come absailing down the building I have something front-page usable to sell to the local press.
