What's up with the white balance in this photo? Everything is tinted yellow; the pages of the book are supposed to be pure white. The chair is supposed to be light yellow.
My camera doesn't have a way of manually adjusting the white balance, so instead I took a picture of a piece of white printer paper and let it use that as a reference. There are two sources of light: a lamp (which is almost visible behind the chair), and a set of construction lights (about 6 feet behind the camera)

So you can't manually set your white balance on a Nikon d3400?
>>3122547
That's correct, the only option is to take a photo of a white object and let the camera figure it out.
>>3122545
They look white to me, OP. Maybe you just see the world in yellow.
>>3122548
Did you preset your white balance with the printer paper under the same yellow lighting?
>>3122554
Yes, nothing was changed between setting the white balance and taking the photo.
>>3122559
I'm not buying it.
Also, don't be a dingus. Shoot raw, set white balance afterwards. No one does it in-camera except for like, photojournalists who have to send in photos over their mobile data plan.
>>3122585
Holy shit, you're totally right. I didn't even know that screen existed before. I've been letting the camera do it automatically this whole time.

this is why I hate Nikon. tourist tier garbage for mental handicaps

>mental handicaps

Do you own a mirror? I want to show you an example
