Hi i'm a product design student, would like to get the same neutral aspect on my photos as following pictures. I have some spare money to invest on a new lense for my a6000. Untill now i've only had the opportunity to play with the sel 18-55 and some canon legacy lenses and i was wondering in which lense/gear (i guess light is super important in my case) i should invest as it would be only for work purpose

I vote for the Zeiss Touit 50mm macro. Especially if someone else is paying.

I don't mind investing a lot as long as the lense is worth the price, even tho i might buy second handed lense

90mm macro perhaps.

invest in a set of strobes, light stands and a big softbox, the lens dont matter that much, as you will be shooting at f8-11 anyways, just get a medium tele one, like around 70 to 90mm

my point is, the lens quality determines sharpness, bokeh, and spherical distortion, or the lack thereof. it does not magically change the incandescent lightbulbs in your makeshift shootingspace to a super nice soft neutral light, only proper photo lights does..
Lighting will be far more beneficial than a new lens. If you get the correct lighting even the kit lens will be fine when shot at f8 and focus stacking. Maybe look at a focus stacking slider. Getting a continuous white roll might be good to buy if you don't have an adequate room.

Yeah i see your point, i don't want to commit to much on the lense aswell from what i've seen my school provide some cubelight and some Elinchrom stuff will see what i will need the most back to school
